One example would be A very few of the "Americans" can name one of the five freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment but ask them the names of the Simpsons and they know it by heart.

    Doh !

I'd be willing to bet most can name more than one. The people who have trouble naming those freedoms are people who use them the most. For example, the hippies hanging out on Wall St.

For the record, I've never seen the Simpsons... I know who they are, but I've never watched more than what I was force fed on the Tracy Ullman show.

Kinda interesting how I address the Carter/Reagan debate and both Misato and Bushranger play tag team copy/paste.

No idea what you said and not willing to click 'view post'. Only time I see you is when someone else quotes you. Say what you like, I won't be seeing it. As you're the only DPer on my ignore list (ever), I don't get to read your posts, sorry. You're way too deceitful for me. I can handle an opposing argument, it's what you do behind the scenes that turns me off. I get myself into too much trouble talking to you.

Same here. I read what people write about Presidents Reagan and Carter, but really, one must have lived through both their administrations to appreciate the optimism that Reagan made everyone feel (even Democrats) and how Carter humiliated the United States during the hostage crisis.

Well I lived through both, maybe you mean one should have lived in the US during that time because I think Carter's legacy is much better than Reagan's.

Yet he's the one that asked me the question. Go figure.. Had me on ignore.. ah, ok... That's a really great way to avoid confrontation, even when one invites it.

Well whom do you think asses are able to elect? Another ass, and/or a professional hypocrite. I agree that it would be nicer to make it harder to vote- absolutely , nevertheless 550 and 100 ARE anachronism. They got no business wiping chairs with their $5000 suits there. As a famous US senator said, you don't have to pass an IQ test to be a senator. I wonder why?
As for voting for land owners only , you forgot to mention that they had to be WHITE land owners.

Just received and interesting comment on one of my videos:

Sounds like "Animal Farm". A big trap if you ask me.

Maybe it's time to Occupy "Occupy".

    Occupy Occupy.... lol... Already there.

The Occupy forums have more trolls than California has illegal aliens. Anything that entertaining should be illegal.

Yah, but the unfettered trolling is more entertaining than any Jon Stewart show.

But you need to ask yourself: Could it be that some of them are being paid to water down the real message?

Mayor Bloomberg has a unique solution - he told the New York protesters that they can stay there indefinitely.

That's brilliant - Mayor Bloomberg took the whole "satisfaction of defiance" motivation away from the protestors!
