The Page Rank system is developed and owned by Google, not Yahoo. Yahoo is not associated to the page rank.

No the page rank is created by Google. It's the ranking system by google not yahoo. Alexa is another company.

Yahoo may have their own algorithm to check for your sites status but page rank algorthm is known and used by Google to calculate your site's PR.

It's possible to rank well in Yahoo but not rank so well for the same thing in Google. I've seen it happen several times.

As far as I know there is no page rank for Yahoo, anyway, if it would exist, it would have some meaning only for Yahoo, there would be no relationship with page rank in Gogle. If there would be some page rank for your page in Yahoo, it would answer the question: How important does Yahoo consider my page is? It doesn't answer the question: Will my page be included on the first results page in Yahoo?
