I was wondering if you'll receive a DMCA complaint if you use games such as tetris, frogger, and other games trademarked by large companies, and make a website centered around on them?

http://www.tetrislive.com/ is surely not enforsed by the official company or something?

Heh, if you ever receive a DMCA for what's actually trademark infringement, tell them that doesn't apply because
there's no "T" in DMCA. You can still get that if you use copyrighted items like images, though.

But there's a C in DMCA, or is it a See?
Copyrighted items like images? What about a game developed by an independent developer?

Heh, it's C for copyright and T for trademark. While both copyrights and trademarks are forms of intellectual property, they have
different applications for nonetheless different purposes.

Point is one can't use DMCA to tell you to stop using their trademark in your domain name because DMCA isn't created to deal
with that. DMCA deals with copyright issues like using one's image without their permission.

Unfortunately I'm not that familiar if copyright also applies to games, though I suspect they do. Meanwhile, you might want to
ask a mod to move this to the legal section since you're essentially asking something with legal issues.
