Is hostgator the best business hosting site ?

Is hostgator a good host to be with for our business sites ? Reliable ? etc.

Will never know unless you give it a try. I use Hostgator for my blogs and am very happy with them so far. Besides, they have a 45-day money back guarenteed.

 

Hostgator is good for a small business website. But if you have too many pages, SE keep indexing your webpages, and make your site very busy, you will ba asked to move away or upgrade to their VPS.

 

I personally would not trust a hosting company offering "unlimited plans".

 

No. I would not use Hostgator for mission critical hosting. There are significantly better hosts out there. What is your budget?

I once many moons ago had an unlimited plan with a host and found my site over a period of months slow down.When i did a search to find out who was on the same sever it was full of porn.The porn sites were basically were draining the resources.

 

its the biggest company, best support no questions asked and their uptime has always been 99% for me.

 

HostGator is a very good hosting site but if you read their service agreement they do seem to have a lot of limitations. They have limits even on the types of files that you put on your website. That wouldn't work for some people, but I do like them.

 

I've had no problems when I used HostGator. Definitely give it a try.

 

You could go for a smaller company that has better service- there is surmounted.net (I have No affiliation with this)

 

it all depend on what kinda business and also what kinda traffic flow you looking at , as well as where is your targeted user coming from .

i own a few server in different places and use a few hosting service , targeting globally user as well as local user .

I think there a lot of hosting companies that provide better service than the "big guys" that provide the service. I like Hawk Host, Amerinoc and Certifed Hosting. All of these companies also made it easy for me to upgrade from one account to another and were always there to provide additional support that the bigger companies only balk at.

Hostgator are amazing for hosting. I have never had any problems in threee years I think they went down once and that was only for about 2 hours.
The best feature for me is the 24hour live chat, so any time if you are having a problem you can open the chat box and a freindly knowledgeable person is there in minutes. If you are a beginner this is invaluable
