My story - How I'm making money online and where I want to be

your attempt to earn is serious and interesting. I am sort of trying to do the same thing. But as a side line income, One thing which i wouldn't do is quite my normal job. Because you never know of the future circumstances.

The websites that you are running right now and if you are getting some money try investing a considerable amount back on those for SEO. If you can't do SEO for yourself learn and higher someone to do that for you. You'll start getting good hits in 2 to 3 months time and probably be making 2000 to $3000 in a month.

I have a website which provides quotations on it. Its a great website with a hug amount of useful data but not getting hits, it will take time because the keywords for which i am optimizing my website are very famous and will yield great results after some time. The only way to do it; Is to do it properly with all the optimizations you can so you have a clear vision and good income.

Thanks for the advise/kind words guys. I'm still trying to decide where my time is best spent... designing websites for other people or continuing to build sites and use adsense to monetize them. As for SEO I know my stuff on it to some extent but you are right I should be doing it myself instead of paying other people to do it, I've also come to realise a lot of paid SEO work seems to be a scam and the '100s of High PR links' you were expecting to receive ended up being a waste of money! But we live and learn, its all part of the game. After not seeing any good results for about a week or two i'm starting to lose a bit of motivation in all honesty but hoping this week I can bring this around and concentrate my efforts back into my websites.

 

It's really interesting... but what are those 'tech' sites? how do you find content for them? you write yourself or hire a copywriter?
I understand it's a hi-tech stuff and gadgets niche or something like that? like, devices, laptops, iPods, etc. ?

I have only couple of flash game arcades. And the best one is in russian, making 120$ a month . It's my peak income. But I'm new in SEO, so it's ok. My main specialization is flash developing (video chats, games, presentations).

It is better to have your own company instead of working for others as in department store. Hope that you would consider the stability of your income. Fluctuating numbers is good but having a minimum value not equal to zero is better..

$120 from 1 website is a good level of income, just need to make 10 websites of the same quality! My top earners are specific to actual products, so in a way they are very niche but also get good search traffic, obviously i'm not going to tell you exactly what they are about but you get the idea! As or content writing on my main sites I do it all myself as I am actually interested in the topic, however for the other niche sites I do find it hard to write content worth reading so have bought some content or paid others to do it for me.

Lately i've tried buying a few services on fiverr, has anyone else had experience with the users on it? I tried out buying links from .edu and .gov sites as i've read a lot lately about the importantance of such sites so just seeing if they help with SEO as much as people have said right now.

 

This truly inspires me to-do almost the same thing I work in a factory on a three shift pattern and there's nothing worse than doing 12hour night shifts dont get me wrong the money is good but like everyone else i want better.

the only thing im half decent at is creating websites so in the last week ive came up with a business plan with high aims.

I wont stop till i reach them then ill only aim higher after that.

Well, I will share my idea then with everyone I'm going to look at the new tech-news, see what kind of devices are going to sell soon, and make a micro-niche sites about them before they are a huge hit like iPhone

Sorry if I kinda stealing the idea, but theres enough devices for everyone . Also we can use new car models, new cartoon series, or something like that...



BTW - maybe someone can think of a good use for video chat and conference applicaitons? I have 1x1 video chats (split-screen) and a 5 way chat application. Now thinking maybe organize some kind of 'chat roulette' or something... I noticed the chat roulette became popular.

what exact are you for sale on the website? product or service? if you could specify this here, i am sure will be response with more suggestions to extend your business.

 

It pays to do things on your own because that is how you learn and grasp the concept. It makes it easier for you to understand how to process works and you will then be able to have a clearer idea of how you want things done and give instructions to others to do it the way you want to. It's easier to spot false promises when you know how things are done.

 

why not start a business actually doing something. you could design websites for money. I'm not sure about these junk adsense sites, google tries very hard at every update to get rid of them from the search results.

 

While I agree that you can make money from designing websites, I don't think that that sites with adsense are junk. There are some really good sites that give good information that contain feature adsense. This is one way for blog/website owners to earn from their blogs/sites.
