    adding sitemap.xml in website is healthy way for seo. also update it once in a month at lest.

    Sites maps are the one of many good way to let search engines about your presence and web pages.
    There are two types of site map:
    HTML site map
    Xml site map

    Html site maps are helpful to the visitors. It enables the visitors to understand the site structure and navigate through out the site easily. Where are xml sitemap can be a site map of video , image or web-pages. Generally search engines take a lot time to find out all the webpages in the site. So xml site map is the way to make it faster.

    put priority & update details. submit in the webmaster account.

    Sure dear..you must submit .xml sitemap in your website so that it will inform the google crawler about how many pages and structure of your website..I also agree with the Seoripper point of view in above post...

    Sitemap is like a guide to the crawlers or spider of the search engines in your site. If you have a sitemap you are making the job of the crawlers easier. Sitemap is really useful.

    I agree with above point but if you want to navigate the visitors, you should implement the HTML sitemaps and if you want all pages will be crawled by search engines, then you must implement the .xml sitemaps for Google Robots.
