well mine is going low as well, but i m not sure if i am in same boat as you are or i am in worse condition than this
You really need a good quality site with good quality content to get anywhere with Adsence. Much better ways to make online money than Adsence so I really don't bother with it any more.
Well starting the last few days of September my CTR dropped at least 50% as well as earnings. Page views are the same however. I am assuming some big advertisers disappeared for whatever reason.
Same thing happened to me, After 28th of September ecpm had a dramatic drop, I hope advertisers are saving for Holidays
It is getting harder to make money from AdSense. I can see that the ads are not so targeted for my blog. I think that is why my blog is not getting any clicks.
Any idea where to get some traffic? I am getting traffic from search engines, forums, directories, my blogs, twitter, bookmark sites and more. Any other better ideas? Thanks
What more do you want? I thought the best traffic comes from search engines since they are highly targetted
I checked my AdSense acount last week. I had earned some new money, but my balance was still lower than it was when I checked it the week before. It seems like AdSense likes to readjust.
if you compare few years ago and now, then i gotta agree it might due to the competition, not only the publisher but also the PPC network
It totally depends on your niche and site. Its normal you have at end or start of a month a low or high spike. That happens when advertisers which had some spots on your site changing their campaigns. And you must have in mind, that niches, which had a few years ago high click payments can be dropping when they become less interesting. Its not adsense. Its the market. Its dynamic and yu can't expect that the things stay the same. I personally for example still wonder how small the income differences from adsense is month for month. WHEN you do a living with adsense then its pure gold - because you can plan perfectly with a stable income flow. My family owned a real shop in the past and there you had not nearly such a planable income. There was always times and month where you wondered why no one buyed some stuff.
Earnings are a function of your niche, the quality of your content, and the user interaction. Adsense earnings are down somewhat because the ENTIRE ECONOMY is down and Advertisers are spending less. This doesn't mean people are not making money. When you view the world from your own little bubble your vision in skewed. If your earnings are down you need to figure out why, no one else will do it for you. Use Google Analytics, look at your traffic, look at the ads that are displaying, check your settings, check your colors and placement, etc. et all. That is all.
Hi all, Being an SEO, i would rather talk on traffic perspective! To those who are facing a decline in adsense earning, I would rather suggest you check back to your traffic quantity and more importantly quality. Are you sure your content are not crap? Are they original and NOT Duplicate? Are they informative? Are they beneficial to your readers? Are they optimized to hit the target audience? I would also harp on the same tune as Draahkens. It all depends on your niche. Things do not always stay same. Internet Marketing IQ also said it right! The entire Economy is on the wane. Advertisers are spending less on advertisements. I would rather suggest you to be patient and carry on with your blog/site with non-plagiarized stuff, that would come to real benefit of people.
The key factor here is the traffic on your website. To get as many clicks as possible on the advertising on your site, you must have as many people as possible to visit your site. To do this, you advertise your website and use keywords to help your SEO rank high in the website Google search results for others to click on it
