Wiredtree are starting to give me unwarranted hassle again, particularly the Billing Dept - can anyone recommend a good host? Preferably established and offer Managed Hosting.
I believe that it will be much easier to recommend you if you tell us more requirements. think that m6.net will be a good choice for those webmasters looking for cheap and professional hosting service. They are good in all terms.
I believe you should use experienced host. I know that interactiveonline.com is providing quality solutions since 1997, try them
I think Hostshore.net is best for you it met your Requirements. If you need more info don't hesitate to Contact us.
Just mу point here: I've had а brief experience trying tо find а VPS fоr our website (also а Wordpress), аnd researching thÑ–s forum I've gоne wÑ–th KnownHost аnd then wÑ–th WiredTree. I've hаd difficulties wÑ–th bоth of them fоr having the VPS properly configured, bоth in terms оf Wordpress environment аnd the security theѕе providers announce оn their websites. I've come to the conclusion thаt "managed" or еvеn "proactively managed" don't aÑtuаllу mean much. Without thе hеlÑ€ of some of уou here оn WHT, I wоuldn't havе hаd my VPS configured. I've left becаuѕе Ñ–t beÑаme clear that Ñ–t wоuld be vеry time consuming managing myÑ•elf thе VPS and/or opening and replying dozen оf tickets, mаny times with simple and basic requests. I'm nоw hаving а good experience wÑ–th а shared hosting running LiteSpeed, which hаѕ increased thе ovеrall performance of our site (in fact, it'Ñ• bettеr thаn whаt we hаd wÑ–th the VPS). If Ñ–n thе future I decide tо gо to a VPS or better, I ÑоnsÑ–der gоing wÑ–th ѕоme managed option with the "bigs", оr hаvÑ–ng а sysadmin and gо unmanaged. From mу experience and fоllowing thÑ–s forum, I think the industry hаѕ to create Ñ•ome standard fоr thе meanings оf "managed", "proactively managed" etc.
Knownhost IS one of the "bigs" in the VPS hosting world. They're easily amongst the top of the VPS hosts. I'm surprised you had issues with them. We used to host our emergency maintenance site with them, as we wanted someplace outside of our datacenters and servers, but didn't need a full dedicated box. The service was never down...ever. The only thing I noticed was that cPanel was slow, and it seemed like their support was outsourced somewhere. I don't know if that's really the case or not. We didn't need the "managed" support they offered, so we never tested them in those regards, but it did seem like some support techs., even on simple things, were absolutely clueless. Overall great experience with them, though, and they usually get my recommendation. Going with an external management company is often a very good idea. To the OP, you can normally find a reliable unmanaged host and then get a management company, and still get a better deal than you would have gotten going with a managed provider. There are also companies out there that offer management on an hourly basis. It's great in that you can get the management when you need it, but aren't paying for the services when you don't. I have seen some as low as $15/hr., which isn't bad if you only need management services every few months or so.
Hi Misohoni, I am guessing that you are looking for a managed VPS host. What are your requirements? If billing is a hassle then look for a company that has good reviews for customer service. When you change providers hit this thread and let us know what type of experience you are having with your new host. There are so many companies that comments and feedback from customers help others make solid decisions about their choices.
If you are still looking and at a similar price range with good quality, I could recommend you servint and knownhost. (you were using vps right ?) They both are good with what they provide & exceptionally good with customer handling.
Virpus isn't too bad - the CEO him works in the billing department and their premium VPS servers are smoking fast!
I rarely come across negative reviews for wiredtree. What problems are you facing with them? Other alternatives that you can consider are liquidweb and micfo.
I've been using myPDV You can access all your information from wherever you are around the world. It is pretty much cloud storage excess it is very organised and you can sync all your information to your iPAD or iPhone and manage all your work offline. You can then go online and sync whatever new information or data you have posted. Pretty cool considering you can have everything stored all in the one area. Hope this helps
