Why are you speaking in place of everybody ? Your statistics are not accurate, too - I do not use PayPal and never will.

I think it reputation of Alertpay that holds it back. If you Google "Alertpay scam" there are some horror stories. They also seem to process payments from so not so nice website such as those selling fake medicine. The last I heard Alertpay's founders where also nervous of traveling to the US no idea what that is about but does make you wonder.

    Hi JasonHall23

We are aware of those stories that float around on the internet. We have started an installment on our blog, http://blog.alertpay.com/2011/07/alertpay-scam-prevention-even-more.html on AlertPay scam prevention. In addition, we are active in forums, to dispel certain cases where AlertPay is unfairly labeled.

You can also see who uses us, https://www.alertpay.com/en/whosusing.aspx to see that we do work with established and recognizable companies.

As for the founders not wanting to travel to the US, could I ask what your source is? Our COO, and co-founder was in New York City as recently as August for a conference.

    Cheers

I am relieved that Crisz cleared this up, as I am in the process of switching over from PayPal to AlertPay, due to genuine horror stories (not internet rumours) about PayPal freezing people's accounts.

Try paypal, it is safe, and if you have any issue with the payment, you can call to paypal

I think Paypal is better however, AlertPay supports 22 currencies and Paypal supports 18.

Thanks for providing this information. I'm interested in using Alertpay for a new project I'm working on. Paypal has thousands of horror stories floating around, and people still use them. So I'm willing to try Alertpay.

    Hi drelude

Thanks for your opinion, there are always things we can improve.

We offer support on forums, Twitter and Facebook. I have not seen PayPal as active on those channels.

    Cheers

    Hi cedarcottage

We are active on our AlertPay Facebook page. We announce what features/services are being released. We also offer support, like we do on this forum. You can click on the link, in my signature to go to our Facebook page.

We tend not to answer account specific questions as this is an open forum, and there are privacy concerns. However, we will escalate issues if they haven’t been answered by customer support in a suitable period of time.

    Cheers

That's like saying Windows and Mac are the same because they are both computer operating systems.

I am currently just using Paypal, I have for years and had no issues. I have heard a lot of horror stories about Paypal freezing accounts and know there are a few reports about this, so if it does happen I will be able to sort it out.

I think AP is better than PP. PP is good just for ebay not for a merchant.

This is a discussion forum, not a voting booth.
It is useless for someone to say he prefers one over another without giving a reason.

I have been with paypal since 2000 and they have provided me with excellent customer service, fair resolution when it comes to reviewing suspect transactions and even assigned me an account rep that calls me at least once per quarter. Why change when they keep getting better every year. I have noticed excellent customer service since I first became a member.

I would choose Alertpay but everyone uses Paypal so we have to go with the flow
