Since i got a warning for increasing my post count, can i suggest DP mods/admin ignore post count in solicitation and announcements forum.

    That section only.

Because when i submit to a directory i always say thanks (a matter of good manners).

I wouldn't like to get banned for saying a "thanks in advance".

Thanks for reading my suggestion whatever the outcome.

Why don't you just post something a bit more substantial or change your way instead of now asking us to change it for 42K members? There's plenty of good posts in the S&A forums that deserve to be counted. All you have to do is a one line sincere review or feedback or some suggestions and it becomes a quality post.

"Thanks! May I suggest a such and such category?" That would make a big difference already. Shows us mods you actually care and aren't just posting for the hell of it.

Anyway, we know you are a good member so don't be scared you get banned for thank you threads.

Over 800 of your posts are of the "submitted thanks" variety.

Then please stop doing it.

I answer other posts whenever i could, i don't only post thank you.

Plus i cannot gain anything since i don't even have a signature in this forum.

But i don't want to break any rules/ethics so i will not post any thank you to directory submitters.

Just in case you misunderstood me, it was a suggestion and not a criticism.

We wouldn't know whether you'd get a sig tomorrow or next month so there's still incentive for padding even though you're not benefiting right away.

Suggestion noted but I don't think it's fair to change something that affects all just because a small number are (potentially) breaking a simple rule.

DP doesn't care good manners, feelings, or whatever else... in fact the ruder you could be, the best... just kidding :D

Read the post pinned there on this issue ;)

Would it be even nicer (and just as easy) to PM or email them a "thank you"?

I can assure the mod/admin that i won't post thank you any more.
