Why do peple call content as a king?

I ask many people that if you have a great content but none to read then what use of such good contents is. They cannot answer me. Yes there are a few who try to answer. But, they are not logical rather emotional. They are able to do that because they are good in marketing themselves. I’m not saying that you stop putting effort for your content because without content, you’re website will be nothing. Put some good content and do a lot of marketing. This is the key for the search engine optimization. You cannot ignore even one of them.

 

Google crawler give high page rank for great content site...it also check title,keywords,description..so i think page rank also depend on all this things.
content is king and quality is his queen.but from my point of view..content is King and Links are Queen

 

They probably can answer you, they just can't be bothered.

After all, the answer is self-evident.

 

unique content is good, but it not means non-interesting content. There are many news site and they are publish same news but their content is unique and interesting for user. so develop or hire that kind of caliber for producing unique and interesting content and then you will get great reader also.

 

The whole point is that your content should be great so that when someone does read it they are likely to recommend your site or link to it

 

After updation in Google Panda algorithm, the unique content get more value.If your content is duplicate than your site can get heavy punishment.

 

Various reasons. If you have crap content its impossible to promote it. Also when a visitors lands on your page if you don't engage the visitor with good content they will hit the back button straight away. So in other words, you are wasting your time trying to promote crap content.

 

Google doesn't give PageRank based on content. PageRank comes from backlinks.

But without quality content the website is impossible to promote, both to search engines and users. If you are doing affiliate marketing, said content also needs to be such that it leaves something out that user wants to seek, preferably from your ads.

 

Aside from a few specialized type of sites a website without content is nothing and a website without plenty of good quality original content is not much better. Surely a site with plenty of good quality content yet few links looks more natural to the search engines than a site that is very thin on content yet has masses of links....

 

Off course it is right that content is the king but we only can't rely on content we must do all other activities .

 

If a site has plenty of good quality content its only a matter of time before it picks up quality links from around the web. Hence the phrase content is king.

 

I wouldn't watch a TV show that showed 22 minutes of dead air, and neither would an advertiser bother buying an ad during that show, because no one would watch it. Nor would I bother with one of those cheap local papers that are 95% ads.

As much as you have to work the system in SEO, it helps to remember that Google wants its engine to return results that reflect "traditional media values." As in: media for whom robots are NOT the audience.

Of-course content is important but packaging is also necessary. Good designing of a website catches the eye of a visitor very easily. And then if the content is good a visitor decides whether to stay on the site or move on.

 

The Internet has opened a wealth of information for the people. People mainly search the net for finding solutions to their problems or questions. So, it is meaningful to have informative content on your site to attract viewers. Even search engines like Google have an affinity for content.

 

You can't have SEO without it. Without content, you have no keywords, and without the content, you can't have links that have an importance for the search engines.

 

I will not say about the content marketing only. They are both important but for me, marketing is better than content.

 

You can see a lot of people that don't have the best skills but they are the best in their fields so how do they do that? What is your say on this?

I have visited a lot of websites once. I only bookmarked the one that has good contents. But surely what you have mentioned is true, if they are not promoted how could I be able to read.
