Your idea may be wrong.see..even if entire world accusing Muslims as terrorists , I don't see any action taken by the Muslim communities. There are so many rich countries. What are they doing to defend their religion ? I don't have a damn clue about it. Does any one know ?

    1. I am from India.

    2. I am not pointing out on every muslim nor generalizing every muslim. Most muslim countries are creating their own doom with backwardness and sharia laws.

Well, these 'rich' countries are doing a fair bit to 'defend' their religion..

They are sponsoring people who love to blow those people who criticize their religion, and themselves..

I am aware that this awful ritual(female circumcision) is practiced in a few Muslim and non Muslim countries in Africa. But I was under the impression that this was a rare occurance in Indonesian society.I will have to read up on this.

I can understand how painful this can be for a Romanian to see, it would be like watching somebody burning $100 dollar bills. They just calculate the amount of money they can be making by putting these women to work in brothels instead of destroying it in this way.

The definitive guide to FC in Indonesia for you:

    http://www.popcouncil.org/pdfs/frontiers/reports/Indonesia_FGM.pdf

    Quick excerpst:

Religious reasons: some Muslim communities practice FGM in the belief
that it is demanded by the Islamic faith although this customs, however,
    predates Islam.

Previous studies in Indonesia confirmed findings from international literature that
FC is not a religious requirement for Muslims in Indonesia

Most Indonesian Muslim leaders know that, “Circumcision is a commendable act
for men (sunnah) and merely an honorable thing for women (makromah)”

The survey demonstrated that circumcision among girls and boys is a universal
practice in the study sites. Across the sites, among all the children aged 15-18, 86-100% of
the girls and 100% of the boys were reported already circumcised.

It's a quote from an Indonesian study and the word is makromah. I trust that they know what they are talking about.

The problem is that you cannot find this word in Google search except in relation to FC on the internet. I used Google translator for Indonesian and Arabic language and this word doesn´t exist. This is the reason I suspect that this word is either Indonesian pronunciation or some westerner pronunciation of word Makruh which is an Islamic-Arabic term. If FC was an honorable thing to do according to Islam then you could have seen that as common practice in Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Syria,... but you don´t which shows it is really a pre-Islamic African tradition.

Take it up with these people

"This study was conducted by the Population Council Jakarta with support from the
Ministry for Women’s Empowerment under USAID funding."

    It's their word.

The word used in the study is " makromah ".

It is neither "Makruh" nor "Makrouh".

Once again I trust that the people who conducted the study are intelligent enough to have used a word they believe is accurate.

Once again you are trusting the people who made the spelling mistake in the Arabic word and did wrong English translation of it.
