Got my account restored again but when I login, I can see a message in a box that my name on PAN doesn't match. I had already sent them a message that my names on PAN Card and PayPal account are exactly the same. I also received a mail saying I can now receive money in my account. The whole experience of getting my account limited and restored twice was not good. I have already signed up for ccavenue and I'll keep that active too. next time they limit again, I can accept payments thru ccavenue. PayPal is the best/fastest and cheapest as long as it works.

The automated system again LIMITS such accounts! Yes I got same email from PayPal. Already talked with on phone and she said everything is perfect now you don't need to worry about your PayPal account but they are not removing limitation of my account. I don't know why PayPal doing this type of things with Indians. We all are loosing our clients and payment and our government also supporting to PayPal. Bad luck for indian freelancers and small companies.
Yet to get that email, just one question, do you have a personal bank account added to your paypal or a business account added, since the paypal is business account they might expect a business bank account to be added.
I've 2 Business Current Bank Accounts are added to PayPal. Both are verified, using it since last 3 years. My PAN card status is "verified successfully" but still they are not restoring my account. WTF is that???? I started using 2checkout

i got the same message.. Must be Paypal issue sole proprietor do not need company name Pan Card i conform with may Tax Consultant as well as some other friends. i also email paypal so hopefully paypal will solve soon this issue.

I have no problem with paypal till now. this is the first for me. Hopefully everything will be resolved for everyone facing this problem..... i am looking at alternatives in the meantime. have applied for alertpay, ccavenue and looking into 2co too now..

OK Guys, I too got the a/c limitation due to unable to verify the PAN email. I have given them this link (Incometax dept, Gov of India) so that they can verify our PAN details within 10 seconds in future and after this they shouldn't do their unprofessional act particularly in this regards: The link: https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/portal/knowpan.do HTH Paypal more than us.

the Officially the email says: Your PAN was found to be invalid after verification So for me it is just that until they send me another email saying it's developmental or whatever else that process is called by their representatives over the phone. P.S.: In their email, they said that my PAN number was found to be invalid, so I gave them the above IT link and asked them to do the verification themselves with the details they have about me. My PP account is over 5 years old now. In their change PAN number screen, the PAN number displayed in the box was the same that I had given them and so I didn't (and couldn't) change it to the "same PAN number" again. So I asked them to do the verification using the IT link which would show them the facts in 10 seconds flat. I guess, they must have booted out one of their employees recently and he/she must have inserted a virus into their system!
I got the same today. And I feel it is time to say "Go FUCK Yourself" to Paypal. Using them since 2004 and I feel they want to shut down business in India. No big deal! There are too many alternatives these days.
i am in the same boat, got my a/c limited today around 2 PM IST, and the withdrawal made on 29th was reversed back, making a loss of $5 due to exchange rate, i called them up, told them that the PAN number is correct and they asked me to spell it out again and did it, they told i would have to wait for few hours to get it back...lets see how many hours <_<
Hello, I just called PayPal US callcenter and a person politely replied me about the crisis going on. As per him my account will be restored within 48 hours. Let's see.....
