i have read up on this but i'm confused that why i didnt see anyone developing sites around the top keywords? I dont see them as often as myspace site in forum and marketplace. Is it because its earning too good and people have hid their sites? Keyword List: http://www.webmaster-headquarters.com/faqs/AdSense_top_paying.shtml
No, it would be most probably because the top paying keywords are not really top paying keyword anymore. and there are several other creiteria due to which peoples don't like to build keyword specific sites.
For instance the top one 'domains yahoo' - what useful site could one possibly build around that key-word? Also - one would expect .... yahoo to rank highest for that keyword anyhow, so getting visitors would be a pain.
Alot of people DO create high paying keywords, however they are less likely to let anybody know about there site. The hardest part about these high paying keyword sites is getting hites and ranking well on google. You must try and find a market that has plenty of demand, but not too much supply. This is vital for getting traffic, don't go into a saturated market. You can check out http://nichegeek.com which has good niches, often well paying not much competition keywords. (I am in no way affiliated with that site) Hope that helped!
It's easy to create site about top paying keywords ... the difficult thing is to get the traffic... that's why top paying keywords are expensive..
... those 'cheap advertisements' would actually be expensive, because they are high keywords. But on the whole, what you are suggesting is what makes MFA (Made For Adsense) sites thrive, so if you do it smart, it may work.
Agreed. If you are able to drive traffic, they are most willing to pay you the money. For a start, it is best to target niches that pays well, with average competition. Sharing a small chunk of big traffic is easier than competing for the only clicker.
sbongo, Actually people overuse most of the top paying keywords. It seems every Adsense-guru-wannabe has an attorney or mesothelioma site these days. It's way overdone and theres more money in highly searched for keywords than the high paying ones.
Their are too much compettaion in top paying keywords. Secondly, top paying keywords are not always stand on the highest paying rank. Its fluctuate time to time.
kw prices seem to be fluctuating at the mo, mine have dropped from around 3.50 aclick to 1.70 ish for a full week also, time to wait and see me thinks
You mean like the most searched for words? Not for Google, and you'll find the majority of the top searches are for names and brands.
The list is completely wrong The actual bids are much much lower than those on the list Also traffic is most important. How easy do you think it will be to get traffic to a "washington DUI attorney" site? Also the bids tends to fluctuate a lot.
High paying words do not generate decent CTRs. You may get 1 click per 10000 impressions, which gives you $20, but if you use, say, a $1 keyword, and get even 30 clicks in 10000 impressions, which is definitely not unachievable, you'd make more.
