Hi, I have posted a few tutorials on my technical blog. If I submit these tutorials (with same content) to an article site, is it a bad practice? Will google penalise for duplicate contents? Also can I submit the same tutorials as pdf or ppt to other pdf/ppt sharing sites?
By logic you won't get penalised in one reason: your content is already indexed by google. If it's not indexed- you just give free content to article directory.
You can spin your articles and submit to different article directories..This way you can build more backlinks and Google will threat this as unique articles..
There won't be any problem if your site contents are indexed before you submit them to article directories. You will never face any problem...
That's true, but just don't take the risk. Spin your content or write a new article for article directories ... unless you don't want your article directory articles to get high SERP's by Google (because it will be penalized for duplicate content), but I'm guessing that's your end motive?
It is not good to spread what's already in your site, but it is good to spread what you have submitted elsewhere, so, it would be even better if ppl copy your post and have it link back to u.
