How exactly take the back up of a wordpress blog

    Hello

    I am blogger, I havent take my wordpress blogs back up yet.Copying all the data using an ftp to my computer is = back up or is there any other way to do it please expalin in detail

    You can take backup of your all files as well as mysql DB using 'Backup' option at your cpanel.

    If you want to take daily,weekly,monthly backup of your mysql DB then you can use plugin (WP DB Backup or something like that) for that. Google search for that term.

    Look on the plugin section for WP-dbmanager. You can set it up to backup your db daily, weekly etc

    it is simple just download the WP-dbmanager plugin and activate it.then using this plugin you are easily backup your wordpress

    I use wp-db-backup and get backups emailed to me daily or weekly as well as on demand.

    I like backwpup. I can choose to backup files or db or both and i can choose where send the backup zipped file ( email, filesystem,cloud ).
    i successfully restored a missing db some time ago.
