It is the Word of God, written by Men inspired by God; and the strongest proof of its authenticity is that these 4 Gospels were written at DIFFERENT TIMES, by 4 DIFFERENT PERSONS, reporting the SAME FACTS.

You do realize I presume that originally there were 8 gospels in all? The copies discovered in 1949 in the cave of Qumran are well preserved.I have read all 8 gospels.The gospel of Judas is the most interesting.The Roman Catholic church banned the last 4 gospels around 350 A.D. because the ancient Jews considered women equal,and the RCC couldn't come to terms with the fact that Mary Magdaline seemed to hold such a high place with the disciples.Have you read the other gospels?

Gworld I consider you to be a friend but on this I have to disagree with you.We still have the original Roman manuscripts written 2,000 years ago where Pontius Pilate writes to Rome about this Joshua Bar Yousef (Jesus son of Joseph)who is stirring up trouble and claiming to do miracles.I don't know if he was the messiah,but the dude existed no doubt about it.

 

There a lot of trouble makers in that time and Romans used to kill a couple of them every week but there is no historical proof that Jesus existed. That is the reason when couple of years ago there was a forgery about box that supposedly hold his brother bones, it became such a big deal.
