What is better for SEO on a wordpress site having a static front page or show the most recent posts on the page.
All posts and pages are individual pages and stand alone on seo. Furthermore, either one can rank provided you do the right thing with those pages .
I'm using yoast SEO. Mostimportantly, you must have all the meta taggings and alt tags on each of your photos so that it will enhance the usability of it. Another you can do is to install a sitemap plugin.
I find Google rewards new content so I would go with the most recent posts. I would add a static welcome message which includes the keywords you are targeting in a H1 tag.
I'd look into SEO All-in-one or WP-Easy SEO. Those do all of the work for you with WP, you can set it up in a lot of different ways.
I think it is ok to list new articles on the frontpage of Wordpress, but I would only list a portion of the article and not the entire thing. Instead, list 1 or 2 paragraphs of the newest articles and link to the page that contains the entire article. This will help to cut down on possible duplicate content issues.
Go for RSS submissions, they surely are going to be helping in contributing traffic along with providing rankings for your keywords with in the search engine.
I'd like to possibly contribute to this thread and add my own question if anyone would be willing to respond. I think BOTH styles have their advantages and disadvantages. Surely fresh and updated content will help you rank better in Google (I've personally found on days I publish a lot more posts I get way more traffic to my website for some reason). On the other hand, considering keyword density and how it can mess it up for your homepage if you have posts from a bunch of different categories (and thus a bunch of different keywords), while you're trying to rank your main page for certain keywords, it could really mess up your rankings since you're ranking for one keyword while your main page contains a bunch of different ones. Correct me if I'm wrong? Perhaps its better to limit the main page to posts from one category only (based on your main keyword niche) or set it as completely static? Would anyone like to add anything?
Wordpress is By default shows most recent posts on the front page. frequent latest updates is the biggest thing on blog.
Yes, but content with a bunch of different keywords while you're ranking for a certain keyword -- is that not bad for your blog as a whole?
As per my reviews, you should keep your home page static.. This is much better than changing the home page everytime with new posts
Wordpress is a great script which contains all seo factors optimized, you don't need to do anything related to seo factors just you need unique content and your targeted keywords in that content.
