New Sales Page Converts 1 Sale in 29 Hops - Is That Good?

    Hey all
Been a little while since I posted so hope all is good. The truth is I've been spending a lot of time working on getting my piano teaching product sales page www.asapiano.com properly sorted out and I finally think that it's as good as I can get it. In the past 2 weeks it's been converting 1 sale in 29 hops and I was just wondering if anyone else here has any experience with vendor products and what is considered a good conversion rate. 1 in 29 seems good to me, but should it be better?

It's been a lot of testing and work to get to this level of sales but I know that the product is good because the people who have bought it have told me so, which has really what has driven me on. I've tried squeeze pages with bonus products, email campaigns a million different headlines, a zillion different subheadings, rewriitten sales letters more than a zillion times but it does feel now like the effort is paying off, plus I think I have a much better understanding of how to sell to people in the music field.

    Anyhow, I'd appreciate any comments.

    All the best

It's fantastic, think if you send 290 uniques only, you're getting approx 10 sales :) Very nice!

    Good luck with your product.

Generaly speaking 1 out of 100 is average and 2 out of 100 is good. 1 is 29 is GREAT! Super good conversions there. Congrads!

Its very good buts its also doubtful you will maintain that conversion rate over any decent period of time.

It's terrific. Most of the clickbank conversion rate is 1%, it means 1 sale in 100 hops.

Most clickbank products wouldn't even convert at 1%.

That is a very nice conversion rate if you have it, but I doubt that you have it, this more seems like a way to attract affiliates without any proof of doing so.
Can you be kind and share your conversion proof like a screenshot as I'm interested to promote your product?

Thanks for all the cool replies.
Here's the screenshot. The hops have updated over the weekend so it looks like the stats may have changed already so 5 sales in 182 hops :)
Can I just be clear on this, these stats are over a very short period of time (14 days) and also with a small number of hops ( was 146 hops divided by 5 sales). So I take on board what dcristo said in that it may not maintain this level. But, what I will also add is that this coincides I believe with me sorting out the sales page after many months of trial and error and testing and it's now converting well since around 2 weeks ago. But time will tell on this. I hope I'm right :)

The sales are also driven purely by my efforts for SEO, meaning that A.S.A.Piano is page 1 of Google for several relevant search terms i.e. learn easy piano songs, learn beginners piano songs etc...

There are a few affiliates driving a small amount of traffic currently but no affiliate sales yet in these stats which obviously I would like to address ASAP! excuse the pun.
Cool, let me know if you need any resources. (pm'd you)

    Cheers
    Shayman

That's a perfect conversion ratio, considering that an average one is 1:100.

Cool. I have to say I have no idea how ASAPiano will convert with PPC etc as this is not my field. I've been concentrating all my efforts on SEO.

Excellent conversion (almost 25%). I guess you have a highly targeted traffic. Your sales page is also doing a good job. Congratulations!

In my guess, people in "learn piano" niche have money to spend and are not freebie seekers. They are aware they cannot learn to sing like Chopin if they don't pay for education. That could explain partially your high conversions. Please keep us updated, to see how it goes. Good luck!

hmmm. If i was not a clickbank marketer , i would ended up buying your product. learning piano is somehow a dream for most of us and your sales page
is like waking that hidden dream up. Congo man and wish you a huge success.

1 in 29 is extremely good. If you can scale up your traffic and keep that conversion rate that would be amazing.

Thanks all for your replies and encouragement. Just a quick update (and it's early days yet of course) but with 3 recent sales our conversion rate is now at 1 sale in 22 hops in the last 14 day period(and I'm not just touting for affiliates BTW, it's true but that said more affiliates would be great).

Don't let being a clickbank marketer put you off learning to play piano or keyboard wtg :). The course is a great way to learn and can be followed on just about anything that has a screen. You can also play the songs on a keyboard as small as a childs toy because of the way we have arranged the songs. I probably shouldn't say this but why not sign up as an affiliate and buy it through your link, haha..you have my permission:). That way you'll get the course very cheap with your 60% commission plus you'll get to see how it works and you may even want to promote and make some of your own sales. We have only concentrated on pushing our page up the rankings through SEO and we'll continue to do that, so there are a wealth of marketing opportunities out there that are untapped i.e PPC etc..

If you check out our affiliate resources you'll see we also provide some useful things to help including free articles, give aways and videos etc..

We've worked really hard on the sales page and tested tested and tested some more. In fact I'm still making very small copy tweaks here and there.

We've just added a new Christmas Carol to the bonus, plus there'll be another added this weekend so I think sales in the run up to Christmas are gonna be pretty hot (but we are going to try a price increase very soon to reflect this), and we're also working on some different intermediate songs that we're going to upsell...so it's a great time to get onboard.

    All the best

So Its only 60% of $19.99 ? They may be one problem you have when getting new affiliates. I think you should go no lower than 75% and most people that are teaching Affiliate marketing will tell you to find offers where you make at least $20 a sell, so the price may be a little low to get affiliates interested.

That is an excellent point and one that we are looking at changing. We are certainly going to increase to price of A.S.APiano this weekend in fact, maybe to $24.95 or perhaps $29.95 and then if sales continue we'll keep moving it up. I'd rather increase the price gradually than jump it up to say $39.95 and have to bring it down again. If we can sell at a higher price then we'd have no issues with increasing the cut to 75%, but I suppose it's a bit of a chicken and egg situation.
    Many thanks

Such a good point that we've now increased the affiliate commission to 75% and increased the product price to $24.95. If sales continue to be good at this price then we'll gradually increase it.
    Thanks
