The overall number of replies I'm receiving against the amount of PM's I'm sending out is actually very low.

This post is a serious offer so I'm assuming that either the site's just not to a lot of your tastes or perhaps the price I'm looking for is simply out of a lot of your leagues.

To narrow this down and cut out the 'browsers' let me add this, I'm looking for a 5 (five) figure sum minimum

Perhaps you're all afraid of the 'unknown' in such an old, active and niche forum but really there's not THAT much too it and I would of course be there to nurse the new owner(s) through the early days.. for a small charge of course

To get any real serious contenders/offers has been harder than I thought it would be, I'd like to know why that was.. any suggestions?

Does he mean 4 XXXX or 5 XXXXX - was that a typo?.... cause there is NO way that forum get a bid of 10,000+ lol

Someone could hire a programmer full time to make a site that tops his handily with $10,000 to invest - then spend 2k on advertising to get more traffic than his...

Based on his monthly earnings and other intangibles id say somewhere 3-5k tops - That is well over a full years earnings...which I assume are adsense based. The forum is poorly designed, looks cluttered and needs major overhaul....

Hi Calven, some interesting points..

There's nothing wrong in life with setting your sights high and yes I'm biased but to I don't think a 5-figure sum is by any means unrealistic I'm aslso sure that most forum administrators who have been involved for in their sites for anywhere near 3 years and has totally devoted most of his/her spare time will agree, it's hard to put a price on your baby so to speak. I hear what you are saying about hiring a programmer etc, but that's all could and maybes, this is raw material here
