You may have seen this site on Sitepoint a couple of weeks ago. Well since then we have had a couple more customers and I have been asked to go into business with a friend. So that’s why I am selling. The site at a time was making as much as $400 per month a year ago (through domain sales, etc), however I never really gave it all I had, and really don't plan too. But I can't just shut down shop because the site has 17 monthly paying subscribers and 3 yearly subsribers that rely on this service. I pay $24.95 month for a reseller account which will be handed over to you ( I will arrange to have you take over the reseller account) which is due on the 26th of each month (paid up until 26th November). With this you get complete access to WHM panel which gives you access to every account that you host. You can move your reseller account to another cheaper one if you wish. It's quite easy to run, you get notification from paypal when a user subscribes including the domain name they are subscribing with. With that, you manually create an account for them within WHM (very simple) and then send the user their login details. You choose the username and password for their account and you send it to them once you have opened their account. This part is basically called a "welcome letter". You just email them and thank them for subscribing, give them their user details, etc. You can be creative with this.
Whenever a customer emails with a questions (very rare with the existing clients to date), you simply just copy and paste it to the support centre that the reseller account gives you and they respond within minutes. Then just email your customer the answer to their question. This is the nice part because you really don't need to know anything to do this.

The website was PROFESSIONALLY created. Experience is not necessary, as I had none when I started, however if you were familiar with Cpanel it would definitely be a bonus!

Please let me know if you have any questions, I tried to be a thorough as possible however if I may have missed something let me know.
The domain name is registered with SurfTuscan which is up for renewal on November 9, 2006. I will just give you my account , so there's no transfer fees, etc.

    Revenue Details:
The site uses paypal to accept payments, which works out nicely because once a new user signs up - its on subscription, so they are automatically billed each month. Now there are 17 monthly paying accounts and 3 yearly sunsribers:
Sapphire Plan = 11x9.95= $109.95 (one pays via e-gold, he may be able to pay visa personal cheque, nochex, etc, Im not sure)
    Topaz Plan = 5x7.95= $39.75
3 Yearly sunsribers on the topaz Plan (they get 2 months free for paying yealry)- 3x79.95= $239.85

Site is currently generating $150.00 every month.
Yearly earnings (including yearly subscribers)- $2039.85

Paypal doesn't allow you to transfer subscriptions so you will have to email the account holders a new subscription link (just make one in paypal under merchant accounts/subscriptions) so that they can subscribe under your paypal account. I have setup subscription links (which you will change to your own, I can help if you wish) on the homepage so just email the users and tell them to go to the homepage on the website and resubscribe. This shouldn't be a problem. Most members are very established, up to a year or so. So you don't have to worry about "fake" accounts here. These are real members who are loyal customers of Webhostgem.

I agree, but when people buy these sites and try to make 2x or 3 x what they paid for it ...well, it looks bad.I know the ORIGIONAL seller of this site and I know what its worth and my offer is what the NEW owner paid for it.What he paid was a fair price..

Sorry to bust your bubble but it doesn't make a difference what he paid for it. If I buy google.com for $1 you going to say I'm wrong to sell it for $2? If the customer stats are correct $1000 to $2400 is the typical price one should expect, it's his site to do as he pleases.

I agree with 30k challange. Yes he may have bought it for less, but it is obviously worth what he is asking. He bought it, and if he wants to sell it for more that is his business.

I am always open to offers, but I do want to stress the site is worth what I have listed it for.
    Thanks for your posts

    hi, couple of q's.
    1. How maxed out are you on your reseller bandwidth/diskspace allotment?
    2. How many of the $20/month unlimited everything's have you sold? That seems risky.
    3. As for the PayPal cutover, what you might be able to do is create a separate email specifically for webhostgem subscribers, make that the default subscription paypal email and add that to your paypal email list. Then, when the account is sold, you can remove that email from your paypal account, and the new buyer can take it over and add it to theirs. That way, at least any new subscribers in the next n days should be able to be cut over seamlessly.
    4. Who is your data center provider? Which reseller plan do you have?

    Thanks,
    mark

There is nothing wrong with buying low and selling high. That's a smart move. Good luck.

Does the hosting plan/server include IMAP email by any chance. It's a need of mine and rather than rebuilding another server...
