Thinking of something like: myspace.com/sex myspace.com/poker myspace.com/nude myspace.com/myspace etc etc ... So friends, PR, etc aside ... Just curious.
I remember seeing an appraisal thread for the guy who owned /poker - and I think a few people were saying high xxx or even x,xxx! Which is why I thought I'd ask.
A website URL will reach that high if it has some type of commercial value. Because myspace accounts are not allowed to be associated with products or commercial activities, the value is greatly reduced.
Well it depends on if people search for it. No one really searches for "Myspace Poker" but on the other hand... there are some searches for "Myspace Nude" This would mean that you will rank easily for those keywords without really having to do anything. Now converting that to money is the trick.
http://myspace.com/G Thats me. I don't use it for anything commercial, but I can tell you it gets MASSIVE type in traffic. It gets well over 2000 profile views per day. I do have a link on my profile pointing at a new site of mine, but that's as far as I take it, I dont want to get in trouble for sending bulletiens or anything. I also love my URL because: my last name starts with a G "G" AKA Google and of course the G for Gangster/Gangsta =P
Interesting views. I do actually own one such url, none of those listed =0p And it also gets massive type in traffic, and has a decent OVT. Of course, I realise it's against MS's T&Cs to sell profiles ...
Why wouldn't you send (informative) bulletins? If my myspace profile had high traffic, I would certainly use the bulletins and blog to get info out there and links to my website as well. Nothing illegal about it, IMO.
