I heard good things about SEDO and many people recoginze it as the best place to sell your domain names. I have about 15 domains listed for sale at SEDO for about 2 months, the problem is that there are few views on my listed domains, best domain has 9 views in 2 months !! and lowest has 0 views. Also parking is a Joke only 4 clicks on all my domains in last 2 months. Is SEDO died? or is Domain Market died?
IMO, there are so many domains out there being parked and up for sale that it really reduces the demand in general for domain names. Almost a bit worthless in my opinion. Unless your domains are aged for a long time, regardless of how keyword rich they are, they probably won't sell for anything you would hope it to sell. Your best bet would be to take your best domain(perhaps the one with the most potential), and develop it. Leave the others parked or eventually develop them as well.
I am already considering developing some of my parked domains, but even a developed domain will not be worthy without traffic, and traffic takes ages to be built.
Not so - there's new kind of parking about to be launched - it automatically creates unique niche sites for you so even if your domain name is not getting lots of 'type in' traffic, it can build up organic rankings that will bring traffic. As the content is unique and readable, the search engines love it. Also, you get to keep 100% of the income you make (you put your own adsense id, ebay, amazon id etc on it, so no waiting for 'minimum checks' or suspicions about whether sedo is ripping you off). Here's an example for you - debt consolidation
If you'd like to sell your domains check out Afternic.com -- free to join, no up front listing fee, huge distribution (including 6 of the world's top 10 resellers). Good luck!
Sedo is still alive my friend, i'm friends on facebook with some SEDO brokers and they've recently sold a lot of high profile domains.
Hi! You have to wait and wait.I have held some domains over 4 years before they got an offer on them.In one year I made over 15,000 from Sedo. Sedo is awesome.I have not received one offer this year yet. Thanks Casey Mahoney
Casey -- Obviously everyone's experience is different, but if you compare growth in domain sales for the first half of 2011 vs. 2010 Afternic listed sales are up 58% while SEDO's are down 8%. Afternic is the fastest-growing marketplace and has 6 of the world's top 10 resellers (such as eNom, Moniker, NSI, etc.). SEDO does not have these partners. And there is an exclusive roster of "Instant Transfer" enabled partners that SEDO does not have. Best of luck to all...and one thing to note: you can list multiple places. Afternic is free to join, so there is no downside to putting your domains there and elsewhere.
No idea about SEDO--but no problem with Afternic. Put it to the test: park and sell through Afternic's Domain Listing Service and compare to the competition. I bet that you'll be pleasantly surprised. Happy Selling!
SEDO dont work , no sales nothing . 1 Forum will do more than 100 sedo's . I did try with my 60 domainnames I've got good ones but they don't bother.
SEDO is still working well. For domain listing in sedo, you should ask yourself if your domains are interesting for buyers? to be a domainer, you need pay fee for learning to be a domainer. NOT anyone can be a domainer!
They are not dead, they gain more from parking than from domain sales. They will die in future if they dont go forward and change their policy and mainly their fees.
Firs of all, it should be "Is SEDO Dead" and not Died SEDO is one of the biggest domain marketplace and they have established their own place in the domaining industry so I don't think dying is in their path.
IMO, sedo is still very active. Not all parked domains really earn that big, but there are a lot of parked domains that earn big. It really depends on the domain name.
