i think it's clear to the OP by now what the difference is between dofollow and nofollow. i just want to add a couple important factors.... the term "dofollow" doesn't really pertain to any type of code or designation in the links. It's simply a way to say that a link is not "NoFollow". In actuality, what we call "Dofollow" links are simply regular links, without the nofollow code. These links pass link juice and are crawled by the SE bots. A no follow link will have a snippet of code inside the anchor tag that reads "rel=nofollow". you can also get browser tool bars that show you all nofollow links on a webpage.
Don't listen to that bad advice. You still gain "link juice" with nofollow links, just nofollow wont help improve PR. PR is just a number, no value whatsoever.
