Don't worry about page rank. It's worthless. and until you do, you will not succeed in anything but link selling. What you want is good SERP's. Study that and work on that and you will be successful sooner. Do your keyword research and build links to your site using the keywords you want to target as your title for your link. Good luck, Rob
Did you submit your site to Dmoz.org, submit at this directory, bt make sure your site has original content, and create well-written articles and submit to ezinearticles or more article directories. do blog posting, Targeting keywords to get relevent visitors to your site.... this is enough for starting, for ahead keep reading blogs, articles etc... DMOZ is worthless and a waste of time. It could take 6 months to years before it is approved IF it ever is. OP, I wouldn't waste my time on DMOZ. Just submit to regular link and article directories. and build relevant links to your site. also, blog commenting is considered spammy. Most links are nofollow anyway so it's a waste of time too.
Submitting to directories is the worst way to get links. try getting some quality links from high pr websites and blogs. Get some links from dofollow forums and blogs. Stop using directories. They are not worth your time.
The only way to improve your PR is link building but you gotta remember that only dofollow backlink will pass you the PR juice which is improving your PR. nofollow backlink will not help you on PR at all
Forum links are worthless too. Check out about how DP is no nofollow now. Sig links from forums are worthless. Directory links aren't that great or have that much weight but better then spammy forum sig links...
I think one of the best ways to get your page rank to improve is your content. Get your pages to be deep with rich, user friendly content that targets the theme/topic/niche. I often look at the competition and evaluate based off their pages, if the #1 website has all 1,000+ word pages, you better get your pages up around there to compete.
now google always update everyday, maybe they need time to fix your pr, but just believe u will get +1 pr soon

Google PR algorithms are changes that's why your PR is changes my blog having 0 PR but now a day it change to 2.
Thank you very much for your answers and advices, i noticed that we don't have much choices anymore about seo since Forums, directories and blog commenting are no longer worthy. i think that article directories and focus on content and bookmarking are the only methods left for me to focus on, but i still need more information from experienced people like you all.
Ignore page rank and focus on building quality backlinks to your website. And be consistent with the link building.

Very true. I have a PR1 site that makes $600 per month. People need to get over Page Rank. It's worthless.
Don't do too much social bookmarking it will get you penalized. Just do about 3 or 4 a day. Article directories are alright - they were just hit by Panda but... - they are one of the best options for getting free back links. Just make sure you submit to good, high PR article directories. and don't spin one article, submit a unique one to each article directory.
