Please review my landing page! Thanks!

Hi all,

I am developing my new site. I don't want all users to see the dev. secrets, so I created a redirected page (landing page).
On that page people can sign up for a notification. (It will notify them when the site is ready)

What is your opinion? How could I improve it? How could I get more people to sign up?

Is your emphasis on registering e-mails or on what?

 

You may want to make the intro a little more enticing, while it does leave you wondering and make you want to register, for some it may not be enough information. Some teasers may do the trick.

It's going to be really tough to get any signups imo if you can't give any more details? Will visitors have any better of an idea than the info presented here? Surely you can say a little more about how signing up will benefit them without divulging any secrets. That said, a background image, more graphical content and colors would definitely improve things.

 

I think this might be a nice start. Like the other guys said, it seems to lack content or teasers that will provoke visitors to signup to be notified of updates. Not only that, but nowadays, people are more aware of the various farming techniques that have been used (usually by spammers) and may be less inclined to signup especially if you don't give much in the way of details for what they are signing up for -- it just raises suspicions.

So, think about what you can do to add some spark that loads quickly, captures the users attention, and easily directs them to what you want them to do (sign up). Sometimes, it helps to break it down to steps (1. sign up, 2. get email, 3. $$$$) or use directional guides (like arrows) to direct users in an aesthetically pleasing way.

If you want the sign up page to get more registrations use a light theme like facebook and twitter.

Also, what is the site about, if I am gonna subscribe to something I want to know what its about.

You don't understand my question!
My site is a new startup. This means that it is a totally new website. In my case it is in private BETA version.
People can sign up to get a notification when the site is ready.

Try offering people something like an e-book. This isn't so much a landing page as it is an opt-in page. Why should I sign up? What exactly are you offering that would make people want to sign up? Think about that, and you'll get more members.
