Hey guys, The question is in the title really. I wanted to know if anyone knew exactly or approximately how much YouTube charges an advertiser to advertise on their homepage. The area that is under the YouTube logo and search bar. I have heard figures like $375,000 for 24 hours. If anyone actually knows the real price please let me know, as I am just a bit curious. Also does that price mean that they will be the only ones advertising on the homepage that day or are like 10 people on the homepage in rotation? Looking forward to hear your answers and thoughts. JD
I heard about $400K for one day ads on the homepage. I'd recommend if you'd like to advertise on YouTube for a lower cost commitment, you can sign up for Google AdWords for as little as US$1 CPM (cost-per-thousand impressions) for targeting the entire YouTube site, or US$2 for targeting specific YouTube content categories.
Thanks but I didn't want to go through AdWords, I just generally wanted to know how much a site can charge when they get that sought of traffic a day. (50 million uniques a day)
Are you talking about ads that are shown at the start of videos or the ads that are displayed on right side?
