Different ways to watch backlinks for your website under SEO

When doing SEO for a website, webmaster follow both the techniques of on-page and off-page, with keeping off-page work on high priority as it effectively contributes in building backlinks for your website..
But, during this process,there's one important thing that you should keep a continous wtach on your backlinks and which process is giving you the good no. of backlinks ,as working on that will let your website popularity easily...

Open Site Explorer from SEOMoz is fantastic.

LinkDiagnosis.com uses their API and is free - it's a toolbar - very useful.

THere's also Majestic SEO

Yahoo Site Explorer is old and outdated

 

GOogle webmaster tool is only one of the best for you to monitor your backlink

 

I am using backlinkwatch.com and bluebacklinks.com. I think they are best. You may watch your keywords competition with nichewatch.com

 

Google Tools for webmasters are the best and most accurate. Don't only rely on the yahoo site explorer as it updates link after long intervals.

ahrefs.com is a pretty good tool

 

To get the most accurate link back analysis, I use Google analytics and Google webmaster. Just wondering, why their result is different.

 

I love SEOMoz Open Site Explorer for this or GWT (Google webmaster tools)

 

Google webmaster panel is a great tool to check backlinks. But it shows very little portion of links compared with other market tools.

 

Is there any other ways to check backlinks????

 

According to me tools can not provide effective and definite result for checking the backlinks. So instead of using tool , you can check backlinks manually. Write link : yoursite name in search box. This way you can find the links to your site.

 

We also use WebCEO and IBP - both pretty good tools - which also let you monitor what links are still up and what anchor text is being used.

 

I tried your way, but didnt find any back-links information!!!

 

Same for me. I used the backlinkwatch and it worked pretty well for me

 

But i used to use this technique and find backlinks list for my site. As in google i write Link : my site name and then i can get result for this.

 

Still not able to track it. Do you have another way to find it?

 

i'm using combination of all those tools, but most frequently is the Yahoo Site Explorer, then the SEO Spy Glass.
