Hi, I have a Indian PayPal account for which I have verified my credit card and entered my bank details as well as the PAN number 7 days back, but the status of my PAN is "verification in progress". How much time does it take to get verified my PAN number. Please share your experience regarding the same. Thanks in advance.
Just give them a phone call as well as send them email for the same. It'll take anywhere between 5 days to 20-25 days as per other members experience here. DON.
As I said in another thread, My friend is facing the same problem. It's been 12-13 days, Pan card verification is still in the process. He made couple of calls and sending them emails everyday but still not yet verified... I think PayPal guys are busy with their new rule.. Most of their staff will be doing NEFT all the time due to daily withdrawal thing .. Lol ;-)
hahahah.. that's something hilarious.. I think the verification can go anywhere in between 2 to 15 days.. Its 5 days for me today and i am still waiting for the results.
JUST FYI Mine took Full 2 days time for VERIFICATION to be complete AND I also received some CITIbank's 1 rupee deposits. NOT SURE why they were sent..but DEFINITELY it was from SHITPAL as CITI bank is thier processinf partner in india (at least) Anyone else received such deposits when verifying PAN?
Both of you talking about bank account verification as they are sending 2 small amounts (approx 1 Rs.) in your bank account for verification purpose. DON.
no...there is nothing like this such I verifieid my bank account 2 years back.. and i do know they send two small amounts which don't make 1 Rs even if they are added up
FACT is They are checking the bank account name with PAn name and then verifying the BANK account too , which is set for auto-withdrawal. Thats why people are receiving the 1 rupee deposits
It has been almost 2 months since I signed up for PayPal and added correct bank account & PAN. I had also verified bank account status showing "Verified" but also showing that "My account access is limited". And this limit is due to PAN verification which is still under verification process. I contacted them through email and forms but they do not give any response regarding this. Isn't it weird? I dont think PAN verification takes this much long time... What to do??
Just give them a phone call and let them know of this issue for quick sort out of your problem IMO. DON.
I opened up an new PayPal account only last month and got my PAN activated in under 3days and then I was able to withdraw my first withdrawal on 24th of last month. But then I got a mail the day before yesterday from PayPal, saying that, I have to add my PAN details again. Please advice.
reply to the original author of this thread;The time taken to complete the PAN verification varies from person to person considerably. My cousin recently got his PAN verified the very next day (in less than 2 days). Some people required more time. It is really not clear how paypal does its verification and why the time it takes varies so much from person to person.
To deepesh_5; with paypal we never know, unfortunately we have no control over them, they do what they like, we just have to accept it without any objections. They never disclose us all details. Generally they do such crazy looking things because they see some unusual or suspicious activities with our account, but then how they handle such scenarios is really disgusting. My advice to you is call them and ask what exactly they want and why they ask for PAN details, again, it may be a small problem, hope you get it fixed soon.
