Hello, I need a quality Linux VPS so I can run some heavy Python scripts on it. Requirements: A lot of RAM (the scripts take a lot of RAM). Good CPU (so I can run many scripts at the same time). Large bandwidth (something like 1000GB). Fast internet speed. Location of the VPS is not very important as long as it has good ping time to the USA. 100% online status. I have the 5$/month plan on Virpus.com and they are a CRAPPY service, a waste of money - very slow, disconnected all the time etc ... I'm looking for something at this price range, I don't want to spend alot of $, I need this only to run some Python scripts on a remote server. Extra: if you can teach me how to open an FTP on the Linux server so I can upload/download files easily from my computer. * I don't mind to pay for a year in advance but I want to test the VPS for a month before. I'd also recommend OP to go to a few hosting review sites and read what people have said, there is a high chance that a host has written positive things about himself so you are looking for negative reviews because those will tell you the truth.
What about getting a small dedicated machine. As you said you will be using a lot of ram and cpu. You maybe suspended on vps because of abusing server resources. You may want to try dedicated machines on http://www.ajkservers.co.uk
