Hey, I got in late last night. Can anyone tell me who won the special election in New York for Anthony "The Weiner" Weiner's old seat in that deeply blue district in New York?

So far Australia has been doing quite well, comparably but still: If government officials regulate the money, there is always the financial loophole to buy them.

Bloomberg News had to sue the Fed to get them to reveal who they give money to.

Yeah, money and politics. When you can easily bribe a politician to spend public money, economic collapse and corruption follow.

Iceland has a culture similar to the USA in that they have a basic morality which fuels pride in their country. That morality enabled them to re-invent their country.

Greece has no basic morality. Anyone can evade taxes by paying off the tax collector. There is no national pride. There is no basic attitude to "do the right thing". Greece's super-rich pay no taxes and no national crisis is going to change that. IMO, there is a base selfishness that could evolve into a complete collapse of government and even a civil war.

You have to remember that Greece is a country that has been lying to the European Union for years about their economy.

It's a blackmail scheme, in that Greece is basically saying, "Yeah, we're corrupt. So what? Give us more money we can skim or the country will collapse and it will be your fault."

Dylan Ratigan is on MSNBC weekdays at 4:00pm. A straight talker, he alternately attacks both parties for being pawns of the banks. Ratigan is really the only news figure out there that is constantly hitting how both parties are patsies for the banks. Credit default swaps are still unregulated.

A Republican, Bob Turner, won Weiner's seat. The last time a Republican held that seat was in 1923.

These longshoreman have taken hostages, making death threats, etc. There is a real sense of entitlement
from them. And they seem to be getting a free pass from the police and the FBI.
(BTW, if you want this video, download it because YouTube has been removing this video)

Interesting. I found him here. He has an author/comic on the show that is promoting his book "Get Rich Cheating" - It's satire that teaches you how to make lots of money exploiting people, rather than adding value. lol. I actually searched and found the book selling on Amazon for $10.94. :)

So many prime quotes just from that clip.

Ratigan: So you would consider yourself more of a glass is half empty guy, where as I am a glass is half full guy.
Kreisler: I'd say I am a glass is completely full guy, by taking some from your glass.

    ----

    Another prime quote:

The country is made from land we stole from people we were too stupid to know they didn't come from India. We need to embrace our culture.

    That's funny. Here's more...

"You don't want to be end up on your death bed wishing you spent more time with your money."

Q- "So, you're saying people are there to extract money from? The reason that human beings exist is they're an opportunity for those who are good at getting rich to take money from?"

A- "Absolutely, we should exploit people."

I actually just bought a copy on Ebay. I found it for even less than they were selling it for on Amazon. :)

(I guess he's good at getting rich, lol.) - he will probably sell a lot of books...

I would rather just buy the book. Anyway, I prefer a physical book over digital whenever possible.

Webby is just demonstrating to us that he has no need of the information contained in the book. ;)

I'm a quick learner, I learn from even the book title ;)

I'd download it, take the digital copy to community library and take printouts while no one is looking, all for free.

Thats all well and good, but I think you'd do better by the author if you marketed digital and print copies in places with little respect for intellectual property rights like China and Russia(Not sure how India is on that topic). Why save yourself 12$ by stealing when you can make a couple hundred thousand.

WOW. Incredible book! I just bought it off Amazon for $6. For much of my early life, I'd been anally honest. What I thought was honesty was really excuses for holding myself back. I've since learned to live in the real world where I see rules I didn't make, that are really designed to keep the middle-class as wage-slaves.
