The website blogs i read to add only 1000K words in the home page - why is it that many other top 10 ranking site have over 4000k word in a single page and they rank well in Google and all the other engines ----
I HIGHLY DOUBT that any site online has 1´000´000 - 4´000´000 word on a single page.. Maybe on their whole website, but not on a single page. If you mean 1000 words instead of 1000000 words then it's because most people don't read more than 1000 words if it's not really interesting. It's much easier to please a person with 300-800 words.
I think the number of words aren't the most important factor. It's the quality of the content. It's not worthwhile having an extra 2k words when it's non-value added. You will increase the bounce rate and make visitors leave (user engagement), which is one of the main ranking factors.
Thats a fair rating on this seo topic - many designers are actual optimizers in this profession - moreover the branding of targeted key phrased content in my opinion should overide any doubts ...
hi, friend a page should be optimize for user experience not just for search. Quality content of webpage is determining factor for optimization, it will retain your visitors if your content is interesting. Regards aishalal
I agree here ~user experience not just for search~ thats why im aslikng how many words per page would be best - not to exclude Matt Cuttz who sail no more than 1000 in a single page - while other top search E's with tons of good quality contents ----
It really depends what you are writing. I would read a really long article about different steps of search engine optimisation if it was interesting, but I would probably not read such an extensive article focusing on one aspect of SEO such as keywords.
I agree here on (((( probably not read such an extensive article))))))) sounds like more of us here agree on content management more than words and phrase that get you traffic overall ..... usually thats the target paid search ......
I have found personally that a fewer number of words (200-300) that are highly relevant and the page fully optimised (H1, H2 etc) give better results than a page of 1000 words with little attention paid to structure (I tend to find too many words usually means that some of the content is irrelevant and the ranking will suffer). I would be interested to know what any SEO experts think about this?
No, that just states that you are not good eough at writing to keep the article relevant to the subject for more than 300 words. Ranking wont suffer at all, even if you use 5000+ words, it just takes longer to research/write. However 500 is about average and works well if you want targeted AdSense ads.
How much you are putting that does not any meter, thing is when a reader or visitor will come to your website they should not feeling bored as per my knowledge it should not be more than 600 words.
Page viewers always breeze you're contents no matter what the count of words maybe - so im very interested in known the total limit of words before Google target's me as SPAMMER fir density ----
