The Single Biggest Traffic Driver to My Site (1 week old 3000 uniques/day)

Leaving real comments on blogs is a good idea. It's basically the same as participating in related forums and getting visitors from your signature. Thanks for posting this calguy.

 

Actually , i have an indian bollywood actress site , Rani Mukherjee . Do u think that if i digg or fark , those news , is it worth it ?????

Those comment thing is right .
Thats sure to create a trademark and get backlinks .

 

Even if the comment does not bring in traffic, it will get you a backlink in the long run. Do you not think?

 

Well, this tip is a golden one. In fact i NEVER tell anyone about this one because it works soo well... AGREED..

BUT BUT BUT...

NOW that most comments pages (blogger included) are SPIDER NOFOLLOW enabled. what this means is that no matter how well you keyword your comment, you aint getting any google points. SO... commenting is generally a non "slowballing" technique...

lemme explain "snowballing."

in the early days, if you put a comment with your your url anchor texted by "keyword," youd get a linkback google promotion. THEN when someone googled the "keyword," your website would come up p1. THEN they'd link to you DIRECTLY from their blog or website ... then google would see THAT and promote you MORE...

it was VIRAL

it was SNOWBALLING

but now... it dont work that way...


so...

FIND websites and BLOGS that have nofollow disabled...
do this by googling,

"keyword" AND "post a comment"

Then, google those comments to see if they index before commenting

 

If iam not wrong i saw your site was spamming all my blogs comments

 

You gotta spend your time in the forums and communities where YOUR MARKET is ... NOT some other group who have no interest in your content but passing news.

 

Is there any suggested comment style?

Did you just leave email and website address on the form only or you display it at the end of your comments?

A little off topic, but is there a post anywhere about beginning blogging or a resource? I am trying learn about adding links to wordpress and blogger and all the buzzwords like blogrolls, pinging, etc.

Calguy, where do you get the pictures for your site? Do you get permission from the owners?

 

I am still wondering if that amount of traffic is coming because of the domain name or the way comment is left. I have been trying to since I started blogging but never received any noticeable traffic back to my site through mere commenting. Perhaps, I will have to re-look at the way I comment...

Uh, folks, use your brain, will ya? He said he is also submitting articles, and that he has been linked on fark twice (NOT main page; the entertainment section) and linked on collegehumor once.

Though, he should have said that from the very beginning!

What else are you forgetting to include that is bringning in all those hits?

Also, like the other poster said, many could be from robots. You can't forget about that one. (75% of that traffic is from comment posts in Digg and Fark??? Hmmmm....robots, maybe?)

Let's keep positive, but real at the same time.
