If I posted comments on say 10 different blogs .... would it actuall;y make a difference SEO wise ? I have noticed I cannot use anchor text on the comments as its usually just your name that you enter for the link.
Comments should be on blogs related to your website industry if you wanna have good back links, you can use your keywords as anchor text in most of the blogs but in some they do not allow any keyword except name.
This is enough achievement. Don't try to add the anchor text always. It will be considered as Spamming. Try to show that you are participating seriously.
Like (dull).. Majority of the blogs can be posted with an anchor text? You don't actually put your name on it but the anchor text instead. (facepalm)
Relevancy is over powered by high PR comment pages. If you have link from such high PR comment pages, you are sure to get huge benefit from it.. Moderated links takes time and way too much effort in getting a single link, so according to me they aren't any useful
Wel its not that effective as it takes umpty of time, but at times it shall count. So nothing wrong in it.
You need to find blog which has do-follow comment links. Also it's good to write really good comments related to thread on blog. If you need to promote your business do it fair.
Going and commenting on blog with anchor links and getting approval surely is a great challenge along with involving the factor of time. But the power of these commenting in getting your keywords ranked cant be ignored....
You can put your keyword (if not long tail) and your comment should be unique and relevant with posting niche.
if the comment doesn't give you a link back to your site, as well as it isn;t relevant to your niche, you won't get any benefits. You have to prioritize relevant blogs in doing this kind of promotion
Recent thoughts are as follows: if you use unrelated sites, the links are worthless. If you use anchor text as name you stand a 99% of getting reported to askimet for spam, so use your own name and your url this will look genuine. Make sure the comment is related to the post too.
posting to ten blogs that are totally un-related to your topic isnt gonna help engange in conversation and leave good strong comments
Relevancy and value of a comment is useless if the moderator doesn't want to get that comment approved specially if that particular comment has an anchor text.
Blog comment links are pretty much the same as any other link. They're most likely going to be no-follow but they still count. Just make sure to comment on relevant blogs in your niche, and leave decent, helpful comments. Don't post any spammy comments just looking for a link. They'll just get deleted.
I'm doing blog comment for some times, it's really time consuming and I suggest that focus on good blogs in your niche.
time consuming! aah!!! You are using those moderated blogs till date which takes years to approve a comment. There are huge auto approved blogs as well....
