you are a hypocrite. You failed to see the comparison. What happen in China was a student organization doing protests (some turned violent but still no firearms) for political reforms and yet Chinese govt. bring out the army and tanks. In Libya rebels were using arms and plans (which they admitted) supplied by the NATO for rebellion. You want Libyan army to shoot flowers at them? You are a blood thirsty monster if you are calling support of armed up raising in peaceful society (whatever the political conditions they are living in, its at least peace) a mission accomplished from our side.
Forget China, they are just too big and powerful for NATO to do anything.. NATO doesn't give shit to dictatorships as long as the nation has something of NATO's interest [read: oil] and the dictator is willing to fulfill their interests. Why doesn't NATO feel that people of Myanmar need 'democracy' as much as people of Libya do? (answer lies in oil reserve)
Dude stop eating bull , srsly . You're an embarrassment to history , the China protests where crushed by the People Liberation Army (ironic isn't it) at the time the Iron curtain was unraveling blood flowed in Europe and everyone was trying to be free . The NATO at the time was a far weaker organization with it's eyes on the USSR nuclear arsenal . Also if you remember in 1991 there was some kind of hassle in the Gulf and the US and it's allies deployed a million men to stop a Saddam armed with a chemical and biological arsenal . So sorry but we can't be everywhere . The Libyan revolution started out as protests in the 17th of February , due to the brutal response from Gaddafi the protesters organized and armed themselves and by the 26th they had already formed the TNC . The Libyans face Gaddafi's artillery , planes and armor for over 1 month lacking most things except small weapons . We salved millions from slaughter weather you like it or not . And the peace of imprisonment is far worst then a war for liberation . I'm not calling for it , the enslaved nations are calling for it . We're only here to provide a support by using the best technology on earth . Weather you like it or not we went in and we stopped a massacre . Mission accomplished .
I don't actually know the detail of the conflict is all about..but, to me a regime of the former president Khadafi has collapsed and hope Libya will be start a good governance and lead the Libyan people to a good futures of their country
Forget about history. Look at Bahrain, a repressive government that was killing protesters at the same time as Libya. What is the difference? The dictator is friend of USA. Libyan army fought a group of people who were armed and attacking army and government organization, I am sure even in a country like Romania the reaction will be the same if a group of people who are armed attack the army, police and government installations. Libya was a change of regime operation, designed by western countries and executed by local mercenaries both in form of politicians and military. The new president will be soon in Tripoli and very advantages contracts for western companies will follow. Change of regime mission is accomplished.
gworld's buddy Moammar was up to some really kinky shit: Luxury, horror lurk in Gadhafi family compound.
welll i guess Lybians will have to start cracking instead of living of oil royalties...welcome second egypt
Libya is far richer then Egypt and only has 6 million people . They just got their 150 billions USD assets unblocked. If you do the math they got 25 billions to spend for every million of citizens or 25.000 USD per citizen . Now that is a decent amount of money anywhere in the world .
Don´t be so modest, the picturs don´t look half as bad as Americans handy work but some how no international arrest warrant for Bush and nobody is attacking America for change of regime. Also let´s not forget that USA is still running a torture school for different military and supports some of the worst human rights abusers dictators in the world.
Gaddafi studied in Europe before taking power, he is a product of Europe. Not only was he ruling with what he learned in Europe, he was also getting his weapons from there.
You must be really stupid the ask such question. http://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_room/2011/02/02/american_allies_dictators http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/US_ThirdWorld/dictators.html
With the new documents out, it seems USA has used Libya and Gaddafi as their personal torturer. It is interesting a dictator torturing on USA instruction =Good when you don´t need the dictator and want change of regime the same dictator=bad.
Yep he's definitely a product of Europe since it's well known that we hate democracy and freedom @Gstring : So the US supports them by bombing them . Have you considered that the diplomatic relations that the USA and other countries are maintaining are beneficial to the people and not directly to the dictator ? I guess that in a few dozen years your incompetent offspring will yell that the US was supporting Al Shawarma terrorists in Somalia by sending food and money to that country .
I wanted to call you idiot but decided that will be too kind. USA supports dictators and tortures as long as it suits its needs and then can bomb the same dictator to change the regime in the name of democracy. What part don´t you understand?
Everyone from Dar al Islam, who has the ability to, studies in Dar al Harb. duh. It's hard to do much with your life when your entire education consists of Insha'Allah and Allahu Akbar.
Mustafa Abdel Jalil - looks like a leaders asshole, if he hasn't got a hand up his back, mouthing his words for him, well that would be surprising http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...aw-used-Gaddafi-regime.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
I'm just gonna wait to see who's gonna be the wolf behind the curtain that runs the show. UK-France-US.
