Do you all believe that it is fair to call a terrorism act as Islamic terrorism, Christian terrorism or pagan terrorism. I think by doing so governments are generalizing the entire community which is not fair at all. Terrorism should be just called a terrorism caused by some foolish radicals.
Whether right or wrong, labels make it easy to describe something. By saying a Islamic terrorist or Christian terrorist it means they don't have to explain any more because that says it all. Makes it so easy in this twitter (limited characters) day and age. I'd rather know if it was 70% Islamic 20% Christian & 10% Pagan rather than just 100% terrorists. Helps us define the enemy.
When people's actions are "In the name of God" then it seems appropriate that the label sticks. Doesn't matter if they're picketing abortion clinics and rock concerts or flying planes into buildings. The same thing goes for when people do good things. If they do it "In the name of God" then that is recognised too.
I think its better to relate it to what is reality. If religion is reality then i don;t find problem people relating it accordingly. Its all because of brain washing and if this is stopped, terrorism will curb from all round the world
If someone blows up an embassy in the name of Santa Claus, somehow it's not called a Santa Claus terrorist attack .. but if it was in the name of Islam .. it's an Islamic terrorist attack. If a Muslim does something good, he's a an Asian, if he does something bad he's a terrorist, radical and fundamentalist.
Any Muslim who feels offended by the term "Islamic' terrorism, gotta step up and speak against those radicals, who are actually giving this name.
When Santa robs the grocery store we hear 'a man dressed in a santa suit robbed the store' so it does play part of the story. Plus, if your scenario did happen, I'd reckon you can bet it will definately be the main focus of a story. Plus I would almost guarantee there will be some santa haters who would love the thought of using him to commit a dastardly crime.
It's a just a description of the man, that's okay. You can describe a terrorist and even mention his religion..background etc .. unless he's a Muslim...then you must blame his religion for what he did. But did they blame santa claus ? this is the point. I don't feel offended by anything, perhaps your government should do better policing if it wants a safer country...not blaming a religion followed by 20%+ of the world population. When you say "Islamic" you are automaticall syaing that the religion endorsed or encouraged the action e.g. flying planes into civilian buildings...can you show me where it says in the Quran that one should fly planes into civilian buildings? .. or steal planes .. those planes were stolen..you do know what the Quran says about stealing right ?
In witch religion is war accepted???? In non so the people that are saying that they fight in the name of they God are foolish unbelievers.
You are asking the wrong person mate.. You should go and ask your clerics who preach 'Jihad' to your brain-dead youngster.. Ask the Taliban and organizations similar to that. I dare you to go and tell them, that they are not Muslims, and what they are doing is not in Quran, and make it out alive.
I'm asking you because you say stealing planes is Islamic, I'm telling you it's not .. when asked for proof you tell me to ask the jihadists.. you typicaly dodge the question because you have no answer..I already knew that before I asked it...just wanted everyone else to see your foolishness.
I could understand your argument if that was an aside to the crime but it's not. That's what drove them to commit the crime. You can leave out his/her religion but if that is what actually drove him to do it then it certainly forms part of the story. Would you agree with that? Personally, I think most thinking people now understand the difference between a Muslim & a Muslim terrorist the same as we understand that not all priests need to rape little boys. What's even worse is these people are often placed in positions of absolute trust because they're deemed as extra 'trustworthy'. Would you rather them say 'some random stranger' or prefer that you knew about the pattern of priestly affections so you could be alert about the potential threat?
Maybe when people start blowing up embassies in the name of Santa Claus, we can address this argument. In the mean time, maybe you can talk your buddies into no longer saying, "Allahu akbar" right before they blow themselves up. Hey! Maybe you can talk them into saying, "Santa Claus!!!". Whatya think? Can you show me in the Quran where it says not to draw the prophet Mohamad(PBUH)? Of course you cant. Yet quite a few Muslims are willing to kill someone for doing it. The Quran is treated as a work of art in progress, as ordinary men issue Fatwas with all kinds of wonderful ideas, such as the legitimacy of having sex with a goat. Those who try to live by the words of he Quran and only the words of the Quran are called non-Muslim by extremists like yourself. TBH, the reputation of Islam will improve dramatically when people like yourself quit associating yourself with it.
