Hi, While going through webmaster errors I found an error which when I checked was not a link but a text. does this means Google has started crawling text. Will this be helpful in improving ranks? Your views will be appreciable.
google crawls everything on your iste unless you tell it not to in your robot text file. We have pdf files on our site and they are indexed with hyperlinks in them!
Hi there, I agree with the comment above, Google crawls everything. If you use the right software to ban it from crawling in your site you should be okay.
The whole reason Google will match your site with a users' search query is because their spiders crawl the text on your page & use that to determine it's relevance.
Okay... this means there won't be any impact on ranking. But I never saw any link in webmaster as text before.
You have a link to SEO in your signatiure, and you didn't know that Google crawl all of your site?!! All information on your site that Google finds is useful, it is particularly interested on-page in title, h1, h2 tags, link location, content (keyword density), and the meta description is useful for humans in search results. Meta keywords are rarely used by search engines because they use the content to decide for themselves.
Text is the only thing that Google crawls, other things like images, flash objects or any video file is ignored by Google. If there is anything that you want not crawled so just put it into the robots.txt.
Google crawls only on text. If you wish to have avoid Google crawling on to any of your webpage, You canuse robots.txt. for it.
yes, i agree with it, that's why we can add a truly different object with content, and we can rank well the picture in some certain keywords in alt text. Or is there any new technology that google use and we haven't found it yet? CMIIW
