Traffic has dissapeared

    Hi All,

Since last Tuesday at about noon, I have not received a single organic hit on google. I usually get about 70 to 80 unique visitors per day and since last Tuesday I have only received a small amount of paid traffic from adwords.

site:mysite is still showing over 6500 url's and webmastertools is showing the same number.

    Any ideas?

Have you made any updates to your site recently?

Have you continued to create backlinks and add/update content?

Anything you can think of that changed recently may help people to give you a better answer.

How old is your site (having 6500 pages index means it's quite old).
Anyway, what type of content do you use? Are they completely unique?

Me too, do you think can someone attack us using bad backlinks? Because when I check my traffics I saw the referrer from trafficfaker.com. It's has been 3 days now and my traffic dropped drastically from 40UV to hardly 3UV daily.

It is possible that you may have the plenty from the Google and the Google had disappeared your site from the the list, this may be done due to spamming or the duplicate content on your website..
Try to do the SEO again but carefully...!

Oh NO....I have found the problem...I am relieved and horrified all at once.

My individual product pages for all sites on this hosting account are pulling 404 not founds! Sometime between eleven am and four pm last week Tuesda I changed something or something changed and my product pages have been 404ing since!! I went on vacation with out realizing this! They all use htaccess to pretty up the URL's and I can't figure out what is wrong.

Gotta get this fixed quick before google really does decide to de-index me!!

did I change something? Doesn't look like it...perhaps my hosting company changed something???

That is not the problem. My product pages are not showing up properly, they are all going to 404 not founds. It is no longer a problem with google, something on my website or hosting wise has changed and my htaccess rewrites are not working.

I didn't realize when I posted earlier that I was still getting some organic traffic, but 90% of my traffic goes to individual product pages which for some reason have been down for almost a week and I cannot figure out why.

It's normal to have the traffic decreased, for some quality websites to have the traffic increased other low quality sites must lose the traffic.
