Try all what has been mentioned here.....more coverage and wider audience. Create a Facebook FanPage about the niche your book is in and place a link to your book. The more people who like your page the more chance of making sales. Create a couple of free blogs and link to videos or sales pages. Look for forums in your niche...if you can place signatures....join and link your sig to your book. Post a video containing your link (also place on youTube) to Pixelpipe (.com) they will syndicate it across many, many sites. Good luck Dave
The most popular ways to sell and distribute your eBook or self published book include: Your own website, eBay.com, Createspace.com (and Amazon.com), Lulu.com, Mobipocket.com, and other miscellaneous sites.
Click2Sell is a good marketplace too. They're similar to Clickbank, in that you can have affiliates selling for you and they do immediate digital delivery downloads for you.
I use e-junkie. It is very good if you have your own site. So far the people visiting my blog seem to like it. E-junkie is a crappy name imo because it sounds kind of "junkie" and juvenile and so why would people trust it when they are buying something. However, I found that I can still push things through e-junkie by saying "instant download" which attracts people and also commenting that it works through Paypal. E-junkie also has an affiliate program, but there are less affiliates and it is not nearly as sophisticated as Clickbank. One big issue: the price of your book. Expensive books will draw more affiliates in Clickbank. However, the opposite trend is occuring on Amazon and Smashwords, where some indie authors have sold a million copies of their 99 cent fiction novels.
Smashwords is huge. It is supplemental to Amazon because it distributes to a whole different network: Sony, Apple, Barnes and Noble, etc. You really should do both. You kind of have to decide if you are going to go the traditional route and publish with Amazon and the above (and possibly Lulu/Create Space) or are you going to go the affiliate Clickbank route. I squarely fall in the first category and am hoping to break into the Amazon Bestseller category someday. I also sell books off of my site. Everyone has to find their own way...
Very good ideas. I have a lot of ebooks with resell and private label rights. Will check them out. Regie
If your ebook is about IM, marketing, making money online, etc. Then one of the best ways is to build up a strong reputation on IM forums such as Warrior Forum, Digital Forum, Blackhat world, etc. and market your ebook on those. I know 3 people who have done $xx,xxx sales per week with WSOs.
The most effective way to sell your eBook is to distribute it using your own email list and lists of your peers. If you don't have an email list, I strongly suggest that you build your email list by first giving away a light version of your eBook. Once you get your name out there and released a few books, you can then just sell it on eBook publishing sites. Hope this advice helps you.
I have to respectfully disagree. Unless you have a very targeted list of 50,000 subscribers, I can't imagine doing anywhere near what you will do on Amazon with even a mildly successful eBook. My eBook on Amazon, once it got to the top of an important keyword combination, is selling 4 books per day and that's obviously over a 1,000 books per year. And I'm not even that good at it. Some of you guys could easily sell 5-10,000 books per year I would guess and this could potentially persist for years.
I just setup with Click2Sell for my own ebook. They had a few requirements but it is free. You only pay as and when you get a sale. Very professional and helpful
