    Dear Digital Point Users:D

I am looking for a script for a Student Forum.

Money is not a huge factor!
Marketing is not going to a problem.

I just want the users of the website to enjoy the functionailty of the Forum. (keep them coming back for more!!!!!!)
I have asked a few students what they would like from a forum..

    They say..
    Communities
    Notice boards
    News
    Comps
    Fun and games
    Blogs
    etc....
    etc

Has anyone come accross some decent scripts with neat functionalities or would you reccomend i pay for someone to code it from scratch and make it unique.....

    Any suggestions would be great...

You can try vbulletin which this forum is also using.
If you want a free forum, try phpbb.com. It's the best free forum script that you can get.

Well, I used both and today I really prefer SMF :

SMF is very powerful regarding rights and users administration.

SMF has a very professional look n’ feel. It looks like vBulletin. (phpBB looks like a toy)

SMF uses less system resources and is really faster.

SMF is easier to customize for your own needs. Very well structured point of view code and themes
