I'am in need of some serious advice . On aug 5th 2011 i lost 50% of my traffic , then on sept 5th i lost another 60% , now iam not ranked in google for much , i held hundreds of top page keywords. All our content is unique , we add content daily. We buy links at a normal pace per month , yahoo and bing still rank us well for top hundreds of keywords . But google has punished me for some reason. I run a wp blog , and site loads normal speeds on line. Could buying high pr or chinese links cause the punishment? Could someone be stealing my content and hurting me? I went from 800 per day in revenue to 30 dollars. This is going to end me if i cant find out the issue. Any ideas or suggestions to fix it? This happened like a light switch , only give advice please if you have had a similar site with revenue and went thru the same thing.
Hmmm....seems like a problem for an SEO Guru like myself to solve. Please PM me more info and I'll take a look. I need more detailed information to figure out the issue, domain URL, keywords, and any other on page things you might have done to site recently.
How is your bounce rate? Google is looking at that recently and penalizing sites with high bounce rates.
I think that's your problem right there. I've heard a bunch of other folks getting hammered on the rankings because of this. Just a thought though. Might want to post something on Google Webmaster forums to get some community advice as to what's going on. But if you're BUYING backlinks, that is never a good idea -- read around on the forums, everyone will tell you the same thing.
I didn't notice any decrease in the rankings of my sites during the times of the dates you have mentioned. I know this because I regularly check my sites traffic.
Buying links could of punished you if you had a month that was more frequent than others they may have picked up on this
