How to protect your flash mp3 files

    Hi guys,
Im in the process of making a mp3 site in which users can upload their tracks for sale but i have a problem with the previewer. On the flash player it previews the full track and i was wondering if there was any actionscript code or in the flash file would i be able to have a sound running over the tracks that plays? similar to audio jungle in which people cant get a stereo mix recorder and just record the audio that is being played.

I really hope someone could help, this would be very much appreciated!
    Thanks all
    Sion

Im sure that there will be a simple line of script in the actionscript to just overlay an audio file over whatever is playing isnt there?

Sion , don't bother , anything that is outputted to the user can be stolen . What you want to do is play another audio tween every time the play event is triggered .

You can just add noise to the sample file.

You can't prevent people from using Stereo Mix - that's determined by the sound card driver, not the site. As Apocalypse said, anything the user can see or hear can be stolen.

i understand i cant stop people using stereo mix, i just want it to have something on top of the track so the music cant be played out in clubs. like a watermark.

Easy peasy just add a voice saying "Exclusive on www.mysite.com" and make it loop every 15 to 20 seconds . It will make the song unusable for clubs . It's what all the music corporation use for prereleases . Have a pro create this watermark for you and it won't be easily removed even by amateur DJs and other cheapskates .

youve hit the nail on the head apocalypse! thats what iv been trying to word. I have a sound file that will be suitable but just dont know how to code it into the actionscript or wherever you are supposed to put the code. you see when users upload a track it just plays the full track at the moment, but id like it to automatically add the watermark in the flash player
