A PR6 is definitely a good accomplishment. Anything over a PR4 starts to get really hard to attain. Great job DPF!

everyone who says "pr is useless" needs to stop listening to google mouth pieces. Of course PR still matters and Google admits as much, but the TBPR is just a rounded one-time figure they push to the toolbar. Every now and then a PR1-5 can out rank a PR6-10 based on the other ranking signals, however, the 6-10 has a much better chance at 90% of those rankings.

also nofollow links do count for something and they dont "dam up" or help DP's PR, it seems that it 'waste' that PR.

    100% agreed.
Pagerank is one of the 200+ signals that Google determines in SEO. Its not that useless guys! You should know Google.

Also, according to latest Google updates, nofollow don't stop the flow of PR. No-follow just means that the linked site don't trust this outgoing link. It can't stop the flow of PR in any way.

There never was a PR penalty.

Changing links on a site from dofollow to nofollow would have absolutely no bearing on the PageRank of the site it was done on. You don't "retain" more PageRank for internal links for example. If you think that, you should learn more about PageRank sculpting and nofollow links: http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/pagerank-sculpting/

Essentially pages with nofollow links simply lose the PageRank "value" that would have flowed to that link if it was dofollow... nofollowing a link does NOT retain the link juice.

I think its because of recent nofollow change.

If you think that, then you don't understand how nofollow works (see previous post).

How can you say that the links are nofollow?

I guess he meant that the internal links are nofollow as the creator of this site whose id is digitalpoint has made links nofollow some days ago

The outgoing signature links are also NoFollow.
Though I don't kbow if it's always been like that.

Anyways, GZ to DP for getting a higher PR (even though it's only for show). :p

Alexa is useless. As long as your website is in the first 500,000 you stand a decent shot at making an income online and chances are you are receiving a decent amount of traffic. And yes, to improve your Alexa you could purchase crap traffic that would never return to your website again.
