Have you even seen the Etios? It's a crap car with horribly cheap interior. The quality of interior is at par with Indigo CS. I've been offered a deal by Chevrolet that I find really hard to refuse.. They offered me a flat cash discount of 56,000 INR and free accessories worth of 25K for Optra Magnum, the waiting period is 15 days. Fiat guy offered 36K cash discount on Linea and one year extended warranty at no price, the wait period is 20 days to 1 month. Honda guys offered 12K discount for City, wait period is 5 days. Hyundai guys refused to give any discount for Verna, wait period is 2 months so I told them to piss off. Toyota guys are giving me a discount of 10K, no waiting period for Altis. Considering all of these, I find Chevrolet the best choice for me. I really liked Optra when I drove it. I didn't like the look as much as I liked Altis, City and Linea. But for a discount of 80K I'll compromise.. Gonna book the car on 15th, I requested one final test Drive on 10th. So Chevrolet Optra Magnum it is -
@The Webby That's a beautiful car,is this image the color you are going with? It's the exact same color of my Hummer.
Yupp this is the color I'm going with, its called Velvet Red. This is a beautiful car, very spacious and top notch luxury. Dash looks awesome, controls are fine, it's a nice driving experience. On the top of that, offered discount of 80k makes my day. I'm a huge Chevy fan anyway. Corvette being one of my dream cars, Camaro being another... On the side note: I hope to buy a Hummer one day. But that day is far away. It's not available in India, so one has to get it imported. At $50K it is affordable for me with a loan, but the taxes push this car in a territory enjoyed by limited few in this country.
A clearer message from Congress, that the U.S. is ready to regulate greenhouse gases, I suggest buying hybrid car. Hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs) combine the benefits of gasoline engines and electric motors and can be configured to obtain different objectives, such as improved fuel economy, increased power, or additional auxiliary power for electronic devices and power tools
And cheaper maintenance/parts compared to the other cars you're looking at. Ohh... didnt realize you have already made up your mind. Meh I can't say I like the look of the Chevy one bit.
I know, but it is a good performer, Interior is nice, spacious and luxurious, controls felt nice as well. Plus the discount deal offered by Chevy is hard to resist. So, I'm compromising on looks. It doesn't look that bad either. Nothing shiny but elegant looks. I wish I had money for Cruze -
