    As I know,
Bounce rate is percentage of your visitors that visit your website that leave immediately, because they feel that your website has no content as they expected. And from Mark Ling(IM from New Zealand) explanation, if your website has bounce rate > 80% it means you must optimize your website content more. He said that average bounce rate should be 60%-80 normally, but smaller is better.

Not really, bounce rate is the visitor leave from the entrance page without visit more page on your site.
Mean if you have one visitor stay at the entrance page for one hour and leave, your bounce rate is still 100%.
Freaky speaking, bounce rate doesnt mean everything, as you can see wikipedia is one of the best quality site but i believed that wikipedia bounce rate is higher than 60%

What I believe is that if you have a bounce rate less than 60 than it's good. It means that people are interested in your content and they are reading it. They just don't change the website or hit back button. They read and then they leave the website.
Write quality content and you can improve your bounce rate.

Try to keep your site bounce rate below 40%. Bounce rate between 30 to 40% is good.

The bounce rate can be improved by adding content on the niche site.
However, you might not able to see significant improvement on the bounce rate if your site is general site
Bounce rate is just reference. As you can see forum normally have low bounce rate but the conversion rate also low

Its and average rate. Make some improvement in your website design so that your visitors must come to know about some other thing on website. If you give me your website address I can suggest you how to improve it.

I agree with faysal969, less than 40% is a good rate to shoot for. While 0% is ideal it is not realistic.

58%, Not too bad! You can decrease your Bounce rate using the following methods..

    Internal linking to relevant contents,

posting contenets that visitors like most, do not post contents visitors hate it must be reader friendly..

Do not place more ads on your website ..

It's not good 30-40% bounce rate can be said average and 0% bounce rate is called minimum.

I'd say 58% is not bad at all, it could be better with some work but conversely it could be allot worse!

the less the % the more good is, good and updated content helps to reduce bounce rates, when a visitor will find what he she is looking for determinately they won't leave ur page so early....

It is good but try to reduce it more. Make it around 35-40%. FOr that create a unique content for your website so that your visitors may spend more time on your website

You can reduce the Bounce Rate. Try optimizing for some long tailed keywords and work on the quality of the content.

It is right that a high bounce rate is not good. A well-designed and organized website is essential to overcome bounce rate. The website should also be well optimized and keyword rich to encourage more visitors. As a result you will found some improvement in bounce rate. Getting 0% bounce rate is impossible.
