Message from Google or a scam?

    I received a message with subject 'Security Data Upgrade'. As mentioned in the email, it is suppose to be from Google. I am not sure if this is really from Google or just a trap/scam. Did you received this message? Did you respond to it?

    Below is the email:

    "Dear Account User(s),

    We make every effort to ensure that we provide the Ultimate Security required for maximum protection to our Email Accounts from unwanted Users and spy wares. Our Account Spam protector Team are working hard to add new features and make improvements on the Web-based chat system, Presently, we need to confirm and update your profile for verification purpose and to confirm that you own this Account, Kindly Supply the below are the details for Proper Verification:

    ------------------------------------------------------------
    *Name :
    *Email ID :
    *Password :
    *Date of Birth :
    *Alternative Email :
    *Occupation :
    *Region/Country :
    ------------------------------------------------------------

    N.B: All Account User(s) should update there Email within the next 24hrs to avoid "Account Disable"

    Administration Team"

    do not reply any message received from google, because generally google never ask your name or other information for any confirmation process. so mark them as spam or delete them. It may be a fishing message received from hackers.

    This is 100% scam. See properly the reply-to field.
    Don't reply to that mail. If possible send a scam report to google.

    101% Scam

    Usually scammers use these word
    Dear User,
    Dear Account Holder,
    Dear Client
    etc

    Legal emails always comes with your First & Last name.

    That is totally Fake Dear,
    As Google can also force us Directly to do so :p
    They don't need to request in such a manner :D
