Is there any way of finding who has given you your reputation points?

There is no way unless the one who gave you rep mention it in the comment section:) Cheers.

EDIT: If I am correct :p

We have a sticky on the top of every page labeled "search". Another one labeled "FAQ/rules".

Well as he is already blind :D he will be excused with an infraction or something ;)

Its high time we had something more noticable like "RED REP - The Final FAQ" or "Reputation system - The ETHICAL GUIDE - NO MORE THREADS PLZ :D"

I disagree with the fact that we cant see the people who rep us. I would to thank useful green rep. Ignore usless green rep and ask people who submit red for no reason... WHY?

Yeah, that's exactly why it is the way it is!

It would be a non-stop rep war and eventually, the rep system would have to be disabled.

You might be on to something there Rob ... I think it should spill over into our dailly lives too .... where can I view your voting record for candidates you've supported for election? I know that's a stretch, but it's the point that anonimity is at the discretion of the caster. Many people sign the reps they give regardless of whether they're green or red, but automatically putting a "voters" username would lead to politics IMO ...

I totally agree - the reason i was asking was because someone gave me red reputation where i have posted about a template i am selling. The persons oh so useful comment along with the red rep was 'silly looking'. Needless to say apart from being rather annoyed i wanted to return the favour by giving him or her a similarly pointless negative rep and comment... Maybe there just needs to be the option to challenge pointless and negative reps if you disagree with the rep giver (so to speak).
