I persist because I can't stand pointless killing of snakes, while there are other less violent ways to get rid of them..
If you think that animal rescue workers will laugh their asses off if you call them to capture the snake, either you haven't spoken to any animal rescuer, or you have been talking all sort of wrong people.

Okay I got, it's for revenge.. You loved you Spaniel and now you just can't let it go..

Yeah, at least that could have justified the killing.. I would have thought that Breeze is just another predator who hunts for food.

    You loved you Spaniel

My Spaniel is doing just fine, the Vet took care of him. Actually he later died of Old age after a very long and happy life.

You are the one who can not let it go....there is no animal rescue for Moccasins - get over it.

Yeah America is a very large country and they don't seem the type to have extensive coverage of animal rescue. I admire the independence, actually.

At least some remnants of "rugged individualism" left :)

Here is an article that speaks to our spirit of rugged individualism:

With such a laser like focus on jobs (Government jobs seizing private property and shutting down profitable businesses), its no wonder this administration is so popular.

That, is the big if. If you read the article, you would realize that the feds are using purposefully loose wording on the legislation to apply the law as they see fit.

"Even if you have no knowledge—despite Herculean efforts to obtain it—that some piece of your guitar, no matter how small, was obtained illegally, you lose your guitar forever," Prof. Thomas has written. "Oh, and you'll be fined $250 for that false (or missing) information in your Lacey Act Import Declaration."

There was never any question that the instruments were old enough to have grandfathered ivory keys. But Mr. Vieillard didn't have his paperwork straight when two-dozen federal agents came calling.

Facing criminal charges that might have put him in prison for years, Mr. Vieillard pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of violating the Lacey Act, and was handed a $17,500 fine and three years probation.

We must read between the others lines. All I read out of that whole very poorly written article is that if you break the law we'll catch you.

It plainly states that people are breaking the law then it seems to complain that they're getting in trouble. Where's the problem? I would have thought the Illegal wood was the problem, no matter how they find it. Don't deal in it is the real message there.

LoL. There is the compassionate liberalism that has grown so famous. 3 years in prison for "not having Paperwork straight" which you can plea bargain down to a $17,500 fine. No wonder liberals are almost never elected to high office in either Australia or the US. They are waaaaaaay to comfortable with a police state.

Now that is funny - the Liberals here are the equivalent of Repubs there - the Dems there are the Labor side here.

So you're effectively saying we don't vote repubs here, and you're correct.

And to think, a scant few posts ago you were bewailing the fact your government provides you two right wing parties to choose from, leaving you going green. It was a statement I completely agree with.

What is probably true, and you probably agree with, is that your Labor party is FAR FAR FAR FAR FAR to the right of our Democratic party, and possibly to the right of our Republican party on most issues.

Yes, I do agree Labor here is currently definately further right than the US Democrats appear to be, though many of its ministers lean left. The right wingers are certainly the loudest of the bunch and are indeed running the country for now.

So we both agree that, for the most part, your country votes Republican values. Why didn't you just say so in the first place? Oh wait, you did. Not sure why you tried to reverse yourself later on.

This is all so tragic... If we could only boost Ron's numbers by a bunch before the election and get popular and electoral support... Then we could gut the government, readjust taxes and regulation and bail the country out of being a socialist fat cat haven... Yay Mr. Paul.

Absolutely not. We both agree we were TRICKED into this situation. Nobody knew the RIGHT wing was gonna take control of it. Labor is historically semi socialist left and it's that that got them the vote.

Make up your mind man. Either you have two right wing parties to chose from or you don't. Pick one side and stick with it.

Nice that you keep showing people how twisty you are, and I don't have to say a thing. You're a shining light of everything I believe a Republican is. Truth is the last bastion of your argument because most times you never need to go there.
