Hello everyone I am DEEPAK GOPE new in this field can anyone tell me about which is more important in increasing the page rank of any website on page optimisation or off page optimisation.

 

Before Panda : Off page optimize is more important
After Panda : On page optimize is more important

 

on page definitely. try to follow matt cutts to get the latest on Google search

 

Both are same important to have improve page rank of any website. So do on page first then after you can go through off page activities.

 

Without the OnPage Optimization, OffPage Optimization won't be successful.

 

This two parts is inseparable to make site rank well, just like in a company, your product is your on-page while your marketing is the off-page.

 

Both On page and Off page are important because if you do off page technique like forum posting, blog commenting, article submission and many more without on page techniques then it is not much effective and if you use off page and on page techniques then it is very good for your site.

 

as the other have said , both parts are important. Think like this... if you do offpage optimization, building backlinks, and then google when will find these backlinks and come to your site if it will find a non-seo optimized page will think this is just crap....
and if you will concentrate on on-page seo.... how will you let google know of your presence on the market... because a sitemap submitted to google webmaster is not enough to get high ranks.
So this 2 things are verry important.

Both of them are important, but for increasing your page rank off page SEO is more important. For example, you can't have a PR 4 site unless you have at least one PR 4 link. Regardless of how good your on page SEO is - you have to have the off page SEO as well to increase page rank.

 

Why worry about page rank as even low PR sites can rank high in the search results.Your goal is to get niche traffic and conversion and quality links help climb the SERP. Onpage optimization goes hand in hand with off page promotion effort.

 

On page is more important than off page optimization because without good on page there is no possibilities of good off page. So very first do good on page.

 

combination of both would work much better than just focusing on one phase..

 

Both things are dependent on each other.

 

I think the two cannot be compared , they are different parts , on-page and off-page are important !

 

Let me ask you a simple and straight question
Why do you want a higher PR for a site?
I am asking this because a higher PR for your site is not going to help you for getting traffic to your site.

You should ask the question which is important for getting traffic to your site; OnPage or OffPage.
Well the answer is both are important, first you need to concentrate on Onpage and then on Off page.

 

I agree both on page and off page.

With the on-page optimisation what I do is compare the clients site to the top five highest ranking websites on Google for the same keyword. I analyse the title tag, description tag, keywords tags, H1 and H2 tags in the body of the website, body text, alt tags, and the URL itself. I then optimise the clients site so that all things being equal it should outrank the competitors website. It took 4 years of research to be able to do this accurately.

Next I build quality content coming into the clients website from external websites. I mostly use Web 2.0 sites. I use over 200 different websites and a syndication network to get their links everywhere. I use content like quality UK written articles, press releases, social book marks, video sharing sites, document sharing sites, web directories, etc. etc.

For local companies who serve a local area Google Places optimisation is very important too so you need to fill out the complete listing, get customers to do reviews, get citations on other websites (listing the companies name, address and phone number exactly as supplied to Google Places), do a KML file so Google know the location of the website, etc.

If you do all those things then the client should see an increase in ranking within a couple of months.

 

onpage and offpage are like yin and yang. one without the other is useless.

 

sure the on & off page optimization is both important for the site, but I'm really not sure about, if google will look more at on page than off page after panda update?

 

To get ranking and traffic both are equally important, you can prefer one and ignore another one
