India's first internet company to go public

    Internet has truly come off age in India. So much so that for the first time in India's history a .com company is going public. The company is called Info edge which owns job site naukri.com, matrimonial site - jeevansathi.com and real estate site - 99acres.com

    The issue has already been subscribed 3 times on day one... wonder what will happen with forthcoming issues of Indiatimes and shaadi.com

    The issue is expensive and has a PE of 65 for FY2006 at the upper band of the price range . However it can deliver strong growth in next few quarters. High risk - high return play.

    I am definitely subscribing.

    Who told you this...???

    This company was started in a car garrage. It is being funded by ICICI ventures, the firm which invested in google has also invested in them.

    They have come a long way.

    I guess everyone has ideas but need them to make them perfectly live, which requires a big team and decent investment in the beginning.

    Did not you read above, all these 3 companies were started in a garrage with a single computer, then why do you need a big team and investment.

    All one need is a solid idea, strong will power and a desire to excel.

    Well we have crossed over the garage level to a "bigger" garage level :) where we can easily park our cars and allot pc's/systems to our employees :D
